A man armed with two loaded pump-action shotguns and a knife has been arrested in Cannes, French media have reported.The suspect was armed to the teeth and had been tracked by CCTV as he headed into the centre of the town, according to reports.
Skys Mark White said the alarm was raised early on Tuesday and police were deployed to tackle the suspect immediately.
He was arrested close to Forville market with two fully-loaded shotguns and a knife with a 25cm blade, White said, quoting reports.

But he noted the rising profiles of French extremists in Syria and said the terrorist threat is higher than ever and that security was being raised.
In a live television address, he said: Police and Gendarmerie (military police) patrols will be deployed in crowded areas, as at priority malls, centres of towns, train stations and t***sport networks.
The number of patrols will be increased during this (Christmas) period.
Two hundred to 300 soldiers will be deployed in the coming hours.
