Everyone is complaining about Congress not passing a budget. America won't collapse if they don't get it done on time. Some excesses will be cut off or cut back, and money is still coming in. Some worry about cutting back our credit line. But cutting back some excesses will bolster our credit worthiness,

It is not the fault of Republicans, McCarthy, and the Freedom caucus anymore then it is the fault of the Democrats for the bloated budget last year. It is all their faults collectively, along with those of past Congresses for their excesses and waste. Some want to continue throwing money away, and others want to cut back on some of the massive waste and excesses. Some follow their party's lead and never do their own thinking, and others are independent and their goals are beyond instant achievement. They are trying to find a balance while getting as much as they can, and giving away as little as possible. And many on both sides are just obstinate fools.

We don't v**e for these people to do what their bosses tell them to do. We are their bosses and we v**e for them as independent legislatures, to follow through as best as they can with their promises. This independence among Republicans is good, and we should see more from the Democrats. It makes for a better balanced Congress.

My choice would be a cutback of 1% in all departments every year for five years. If the department leaders can't find 1% waste, they aren't doing their jobs. Attrition alone should do most of that. The budget would get back towards balanced, the debt would start to decrease and that should eliminate the deficit.

We can't keep borrowing and spending money we don't have until America collapses. We have to stop somewhere and right now is the best time to start.

On time ???
First , we are not borrowing and spending.
This present debt has been caused by trump and only trump.
Trump could’ve paid down the deficit , but instead opted for giving the rich another $3trillion tax break .
This is all the republicans spend money on.
Tax breaks for rich people.
Biden has already paid down $3 trillion on the deficit.
Funny how republicans spend more but never get anything for it , except tax breaks for rich people.

And when we borrow we don’t borrow to spend .
We borrow to only pay the interest on the debt .
Spending requires another v**e.
So , keep the debt high , collect interest on the debt,
Abd never spend a dime on infrastructure, social programs, child care or school lunches .
A win win ,
For all of your little gold bars in your closet .

Sounds reasonable. I would add that our funding for the U.N. should be reduced to our fair share of 1/193 members and foreign aid reduced by 10% annually for 10 years.

Well ,
Reagan , did lower the upper Tax Rate
From 74%
Down to 27% .
And did decide to tax Social Security.
So there’s that .

Yet you withhold valuable information.

There were many more deductions at the 74% rate than the 27% rate making the effective tax rate in both scenarios essentially the same.

No, you're the one doing the lying. I remember being able to deduct credit card interest among other things.

He also said , if you give all of your money to rich people , youz will all wind up better off.
Reagan’s entire system of lies failed .
Only the rich wound up better off.
40+ years of reaganomic lies has brought us to point where the rich are becoming trillionaires and
And the poor are facing homelessness.
Good job ,
Ronnie !
We’ll just blame it all on Biden !

Will you please provide documented proof of that quote?
