Why yes they have just had one of the biggest rallies of legal gun owners ever in Washington state. I wonder when the Congress will try some fool law like I-594 and all of us will have to hold something like this. At least every one in the meeting will be armed.

I have asked my Spokane resident about it and expect to hear something any time now.

No wonder the police won't enforce that damned fool law. They might have to have a shootout with some armed citizens.

While that is a possibility I certainly hope it never occurs.

I believe the police realize who is on their side and who isn't. Progs go along with gun confiscation and won't realize how stupid it is till they see what follows from it.

When? They have been trying to pass something like this, or worse for decades!

Gun registration in the US goes back 46 years, and the intention has always been to condition people to accept it as Constitutional. More recently people have been conditioned to accept "background checks" as being "reasonable". Now they want to pass laws that require gun owners to declare the guns they own and allow the government to keep a running track of every gun in existence. AL Gore tried, his version of "state's rights" required States to keep track of every handgun and license the ownership of the same. "Universal registration" is simply the latest version of the tactic.

You should also know that the "Tiahrt Amendment", was a law passed to amend the 1968 Gun Control Act in its law form to protect gun owners from abuse of the registration system set up in 1968. It forbade the then ATF from sharing gun registration information with anyone else, unless there was a bonafide criminal investigation going on. Our registration system is still decentralized, so investigations involve going to gun stores and researching the registration forms into buyers and such. However, if a gun is stolen, registration information is irrelevant unless the gun is recovered at a crime scene. Anyway, Obama campaigned in the 2008 e******n against the Tiahrt Amendment, because he doesn't want to protect gun owners from Federal abuse. That is why I claim that the 2009 task force in Houston Texas, was illegal. How would the feds have known a certain Hispanic had bought an "assault rifle", even though the designation is no longer federal law, unless they physically went through the registration forms at the gun store. And what probable cause would they have had to consider someone as a suspect, when they would have had to pass a federal background check from the FBI?

Knowing Obama's propensity for law breaking, I wouldn't be at all surprised, since Obama had made NO EFFORT to repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, that he is simply ignoring it, and his next dictatorial act would be to start some sort of gun pickup or simply declare Universal Registration as law!

In this case we have an outstandingly liberal state legislature that passed a law that was so bad that the police are ignoring it. In other words trying to slip something like this in on the people will seldom work.

I don't know for sure what Obama and his people will try to slip in on us but your suggestions sounds pretty good. They will keep trying in hopes they can get by with it. As I said, many times, I won't give mine up without a fight and since I bought them under legal restrictions won't just accept any attempt to disarm me like they want to do.

You are no better than the people who caused the murders of the two New York police officers by fanning the flames of nuts who h**e the police and government.

Not entirely true. They want to keep THEIR Guns while advocating confiscation of their political opponent's guns. Sort of like they don't get upset, when the IRS targeted Tea Party groups for harassment and denied them permission to campaign in Federal e******ns while looking for ways to put them in jail.

The best comparison is "Krinkelnacht", or the "Night of Broken Glass" which was the N**i Brownshirt gun confiscation from Jews living in Germany.

They didn't "slip it in." It was bought and paid for by Bloomburg, Gates and other out of state millionaires. There were constant misleading ads on TV in favor and virtually none against it.

You mean he's no better than Obama, Holder, and Sharpton? I think not. The Spokane protesters didn't call for the k*****g of police, nor did they burn cars or l**t businesses.

My friend who lives very near Spokane blames Seattle for this law. You do live in the wrong part of that state.

As usual your comparison is in left field, people didn't cause, one man caused!

I've been suggesting to all my Liberal and Progressive friends that they should go down and "Volunteer" to the ATF, FBI,DHS etc
To help "pick-up" all the firearms. They can march to the front door with outstretched arms and I"m sure they will get what they are asking for.
