You know - I never shot myself with a nail gun - My brother in law nailed his scrotum to his pelvis once barely missing a nut .---Blood everywhere . I was a Republican most of my v****g life but the party I related to changed and not to my liking . I am an Independent and I do v**e for qualified Republicans who are doing the job . Performance --integrity-- honesty are 3 things that are very important to me .

Those three qualifiers are admirable. Awful hard to find one, much less three in any politician unfortunately. Lot to worry about country wide for the future. You sound a lot like me. Worked all our lives. Keep our head down and try to do the right things. You remind me a lot of my Grandad who was an old school Democrat. Unfortunately that party has morphed into something he wouldn’t recognize. Same with republicans. No wonder the largest demographic is independents.
