'One eye on the past, tuther on the future'

Look at the denizens of Foggy Bottom- elected *representatives*, to be referred to from here on as 'LIFERS'. Those lifers who are known as Democrats have proven to be more and more like the pure democracy operatives of ancient Rome. They rule by popular appeal and to get their lifer credentials they will pile onto their constituencies all kinds of gifts from the public coffer as well as generous amounts of "specialness". One need only look at the pork, the amnesty drive, crony capitalism, tax breaks, etc., which we have plentiful proof of-- imagine the under-the-quilts crap they deftly throw around which goes on undetected.

Those who call themselves Republicans tend to also belong to the lifer club by doing exactly the same things as the Democrats- exactly. Both parties are abandoning their oaths of office in exchange for the membership in the Lifer Club of DC. Their 'popularity' means all. So, where does that leave us working slobs who pay the golden goose to drop the precious eggs onto the less-than-worthy? And, who cares?

Next big e******n- 2016- there will be so many well-organized 'gimmedats' backed up by so much v***r f***d all favoring the socialist-leaning lifers that there exists a real possibility we all will come to know Obama as the true gate-crasher who brought this great nation to its knees by foisting socialism upon it in gangland fashion common to his adopted 'hometown' of Chicago.

The term which keeps banging about my brain is "TIPPING POINT"; have we reached it? Have we already passed it?

What we are witnessing with our own eyes is the death threat posed by the 'enemy within' we were warned about. "No power on earth can bring the United States of America to its knees. That will only be accomplished by an internal threat, a rot nurtured within the great nation's core."

But, who gives a damn, right? Consider the army of liberal teachers in our public schools and colleges- what is it that seems more important than teaching kids this nation's history? It is the indoctrination into the wonderful world of socialism and Marxism, that's what is of first importance. Never mind that a cursory review of human history would show that socialism has failed every time, every where it was tried. Those so-called teachers forgo the age-old, proven, subjects which lead kids to think and actually know useful things for some incredibly stupid course content and goal only they- those so-called educators- hold dear: socialism. We are paying heavily now for allowing that to have developed and if we continue to encourage it, the price will be total and astounding reversal of our fortunes both as individuals and as a nation.

Yes, it is scary as hell and with the apathy fathered by easy abundance, I think we are in serious decline.. perhaps fatal decline.
