Washington D.C. Sees Massive Spike In Homicides

Washington, D.C., where Democrats have significant influence, has experienced a rise in crime as of 2023. As of August 16, there have been 166 homicides this year, an increase of 27 percent compared to the same period last year, when there were 131 homicides.
In addition to the rise in homicides, sexual abuse cases have increased, with 99 reported instances in the city from January 1 to August 16, 2023. This number is higher than the 85 instances reported during the same time frame in 2022.
Other criminal activities have seen an increase as well. Robberies are up by 63 percent, and auto theft has skyrocketed by 114 percent compared to last year. Additionally, arson has risen by 167 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
