Retired U.S.P.S. & Vietnam Era Patriot
I come from a long line of citizen/soldiers stretching back to the war between the states. My dad was a AAF instructor bomber pilot and flew the B-29, but not in combat.
I served during the Vietnam War in S.A.C. as a deputy combat crew commander for a Titan 2.missile(now decommissioned). I am thankful to be alive and I am very aware of the sacrifices of my dad, the acquaintances of my dad, and some of my classmates. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! For a functional democratic republic to continue, the citizens must be educated & critical thinking v**ers , tax payers, and also willing and able to join in defence of their nation when required by proper authorities.

Welcome to the forum Rtrucker. I am also an AF Vet 1974-80 and totally agree with you that Freedom is not free and all citizens must be willing to join in defense when needed. I look forward to your posts in the future here on this forum even when we may disagree on issues discussed here. My military ancestors also go back to the civil war and even prior.( 1 ancestor was at San Jacinto in 1836)
