My sister planted this seed in my head this evening. She lives down near Houston, and they are putting in EV charging stations. That's all good until it comes to an evacuation situation because of a hurricane.
Everyone is rushing to get away. You'll probably have to wait to get gas while it is available. Think about it!!
My planet k*****g pick up will go 450 miles on a tank of gas. That far away, I can find more gas.
Your electric vehicle will get you to the point that it has no more go.
Where are you gonna gas it up in an emergency situation, and how many lives are you gonna put at risk because you blocked the road due to loss of battery?

Your beautiful, planet saving car will be pushed into the ditch by a diesel truck so everyone else can escape the situation.
Be it hurricane, fire, flood, wh**ever.

Something to think about....

Bro...
At the first sign of a disaster they'll be on their knees praying to St. Greta...
You'll probably have a Mexican dozen (50) h*****g onto your pickup as you take your family to safety...

That is an excellent, and ACCURATE, point, Arch. Much more than something to think about. Anyone who lives in flood or hurricane prone areas should make proper plans.

Have you read about the recent developments in Hydrogen fuel? It’s been a while since I’ve there’s been any talk about the advances in car engines using hydrogen as a fuel.

The good news is that nearly all of the buyers of electrics are upper class and upper middle class. They can afford the inconvenience and near death experiences that that we normals cannot. One of my wealthy liberal acquaintances bought himself a new EV. He being a liberal and me being a normal we generally let each other have it over politics, g****l w*****g, and electric cars. His wife already told me, to please don't bring up the new electric car, which tells me things are not going according to plan.

I had a ride in it when he first brought it home, and I admit it was nice. The acceleration is impressive, but then so was the charger he had to get installed in his home. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to tell yourself you are saving Mother Earth.

Yes it is, that's if the car doesn't implode on you. My buddy in Tx took one for a test drive and got out just in time.

Big.. the problem with very clean burning Hydrogen fuels is none of the double talking snakeoil selling politicians (on either side) see an opportunity to make themselves, or their fat-cat tree-hugging g****l w*****g worshipping buddies rich and famous off of it. They are also obviously enjoying destroying a few other industries they unapologetically loath during this process-coal, oil, and gas-even though we are going to be extremely dependent on all of them (to sustain the huge increased load these EV's are going to place upon our current energy needs) well into the foreseeable future.

I can just imagine these happy EV owners.. calmly reading magazines while sitting at the charging station while waiting for their hot rod to get enough juice to continue (make it to the next charging spot). If you are evacuating and driving an internal combustion powered vehicle, you had better be 'packing' a 'persuader' of some kind-we all know these swarmy know it all snowflakes get violently desperate, whenever the 'neverever land' they consistently imagine has a head-on crash with reality.

My brother did the same…he started to smell an awful smell right after he drove off the lot to test drive it. The sales guy told him to stop, get out and stand back…and as they were towing the brand new car away he told my brother he would never buy one of them. He also said a lot of people were returning them.
