At a young age I adopted what I call my calm and k**l attitude. That said, anyone can make a mistake. In fact, I myself may have committed a mistake at some point in my life. (but I doubt it) Here's my 4 step view on crime and punishment.
#1: First non-violent crime. 48 hrs jail time and attends classes on behavior along with 80 hrs community service.
#2: Second non-violent crime. 30 days jail w/behavioral classes and 120 hrs community service.
#3: Third non-violent crime. Appears to be no hope here, life in a prison manufacturing facility.
Any violent crime resulting in direct or indirect injury or death. The Death penalty !
