"They" made the mistake because they had "free will" to choose obedience or not.
"They" obviously made the wrong choice.
And "clamato" has clam broth in it also.
http://www.ask.com/food/ingredients-clamato-juice-dfbaf8c6dfd6a7e6Did God know they would make the wrong choice? If he did, they why was he sorry unless he thought maybe they WOULD make the right choice. So, if he thought they WOULD make the right choice, how could he have KNOWN they wouldn't?
I'm vomiting --
but thanks for pointing out the horrid t***h...
I like stuffed clams
but clam broth in beer and tomato juice
I now have to question whether there can be a Supreme Being at all
if clam broth can be in beer
these theological implications are STAGGERRING
and I may have to go hindu
Hare Krishna
The ancient Hindus squeezed out stuff called "Soma'
No one is for sure what was in it
some say it was sumpn like Ephedra
I like clam chowder
I have drunk tomato juice and beer
But now -- I admit it -- my fellow posters -- I am on NutriSystem and trying to lose weight
(I have lost 7 pounds in a month)
but I have gone to drinking a few "sissy beers" ever once in a while (Michelob Ultra)
even wine coolers have hellacious calorie content
the VA has sent me a SCALE hooked up to a modem and I weigh every day and my weight is sent in
I like red meat and cheese
although the NutriSystem food is good and convenient
I must have a steak once a week.

Another good question to ask Him when end up before Him.
You may be there a while with all the questions you have.
Lets hope you make the right decision before your end.

I will do an extra hour on the treadmill everyday at 4.2mph (power walkin sp) at 5% grade incline just to have a couple extra beers a week.
My Bp is super, my endurance is way up, but I still have the gut.
Steak is wonderful, as is anything grilled, fried or buttered. Hell, I love fish sticks and pork and beans together.
How's that song go, "All the things I love are k*****g me!"

I wonder how many calories are in 1 pint of barley wine.
Yikes!
What have we COME TO -- Gentlemen -- " I can have two beers if I walk X" ...
And what have we come to on this THREAD # 3 at 99 pages
are we going to go into YET ANOTHER split and a

I guess so.
I wish this barley wine could be shared over the InterNet
and I hope there are only 42 calories per pint...

If its a good one, just imagine its 42 calories.
Look for any of these and you probably won't be dis-satisfied. But, I avoid the ones fermented on oak. But that's just me.

I would even settle for the "smell-o-vision" feature!
It could easily be 42 calories....1/10 of pint is all you get.

A choice that god knows I will make before I even make it. Why are you guys having such trouble grasping this? When the outcome of any situation is known before it is even made choice, (freewill), is irrelevant. It matters not what choice I make; an omnipotent god knows what choice I will make before I've even made it.
This begs the question of why god went to all the trouble of creation when he already knew whether we would accept or reject Christ long before we were even born...
Your life on earth, is a teaching and finishing experience for the future, God know the dumb choices we make, and puts a path of correction and realization in our way. Just as you train your children, and they make mistakes, you want them to realize they made a wrong choice. So you let them take the consequences. Usually the consequences will imbed itself in your mind so that you do not make the same stupid mistake again and again. Your job in all this choosing is to learn from your experiences, and to recognize the choice you should have made in the first place. If He did not know your choices ahead of time, he could not design the right path for you after you make the stupid choice. When you finally recognize the right choices in your life, you will begin to find things a lot easier. No matter who it is, God has a destination and culmination of your life in mind for you. You are the one that takes random detours along the way. If you make too many dumb choices, you will be put into 'time out' and wait to be told what you did wrong.
God knows what you are going to do, and He makes your choice your path of enlightenment by giving you more choices to get on the right path. Your life is always a series of choices.

If god is god then he knew what they would do. Of course he knew what we would do also even before we were a glimmer in our fathers eyes. The question begged is what's the point? Since god knew what choice everyone who ever existed and will ever exist would eventually make why the charade--why not simply put us where we belonged to begin with before going through all this BS and the pretence of freewill.
Now think about it. God created a universe with billions of galaxies and trillions of solar systems and a gazillion planets all so he could create a utopian world for Adam and Eve. Does any of that make any since? Now imagine, here is a god for whom the laws of physics are irrelevant and even if he wanted to create multiple worlds for many civilizations all he would have to do is create one world in a multiverse. Problem solved with none of the very needless universes, solar systems, novas, planets, black holes, etc, etc, none of which is necessary for a god with unlimited powers who wanted a utopian world for man. Am I right? If all god wanted was a utopia for us all he had to do was twitch his nose and there it would be.
But instead he creates a universe which is governed by the laws of physics even though he doesnt need physics to accomplish what he wants. I once told Larry that it was all the contradictions that god presented that caused me to loose faith and he ask we what contradictions--well this is the biggest one right here. We are supposed to have freewill but the outcome of our lives is already known before we have even lived it so freewill turns out to be irrelevant. BD says--well I hope you make the right choice--when the choice was made long before I even existed. Right choice or wrong choice god knows what choice I will eventually make so why was it even necessary for me to be here?
If anything proves that god doesnt exist its this right here--why would a god go to all the time and trouble to crate the universe for beings for whom he already knows will be worthy of heaven or not? That is the most illogical thing one can imagine yet that is what we are supposed to believe! To believe in god you have to believe in irrationalism where the world of the tooth fairy is real even though on our rational side we know its not true. I dont know how you believe but for me it wasnt until I cast aside the illusion of god that I finally found freedom. My only regret is that I wasted so much of my life chasing what was no more than a ghost. When I had my stroke my last thoughts were of my daughter and had my conscience state lasted longer I would have included more of my family. People always say you pray to god during such times but not for me and I dont think for those who are truly comfortable with who and what they are. The reality is that the end will be no worse then the beginning and since the nothingness before the beginning didnt bother me then it certainly the nothingness after the end wont bother me either.
And when you think about it---since heaven will be populated with nothing but a bunch of Christian conservatives for someone like me would that be heaven or hell? Well I say hell so even if I am wrong I will wind up in the place where I would most want to be!

You still arent answering the question. When the outcome is known before the choice is even made why does it matter that we have freewill in making the choice? For god to be omnipotent he would know what the eventual choice all of us would make even before he created the universe. So whats the point? Since he knew if we would be worthy of heaven or not even before he created us why not simply put us were we are supposed to be to begin with and skip all of all the pomp and circumstance when, in the end, it is irrelevant to the outcome of our lives.
