I am surprised by several things in this story. 1. It seems that you do not have gay, lesbian, t***s, q***r people among your friends, relatives or acquaintances. 2. I am surprised that the restaurant did not have a dress code for their waitresses/waiters. I am surprised that the manager did not have enough sense to get a different waiter.

How many friends and acquaintances that are T***s might an 8 yr old have. I have gay people in my family, has nothing to do with looking like a woman and sounding like a man. This was how the waiter sounded to the little girl. Although I might have handled it differently, I cannot question the dad's request for a new waiter so that he and his daughter could have a nice dinner without a biology vs g****r discussion "tonight".
