Rad, I understand your intensity but check your facts and numbers.. as for entry, My grandparents from both sides came in via Canada and some eastern city, not NY... New York was the major entry but not the only one. the west coast and southern border also had some entry point in the back when days..

Well, some of them but the major entry was the Elis Island. My husband's grandpa, a Viking, also went thru the Elis Iland.
But I think many of them went thru Canada since Canada war still English territory.
During the early 1900'ds my father, and 2 uncles came very young since RP at that time was a US territory. US bought RP for $20,000 from Spain.
My father studied, but my 2 uncles entered the military. Father came back home to teach US and world history. Mother was a math teacher, and they met in the high school, till they got married and had me, the youngest among the 5 kids. We were taught to knell when praying since I was 3 years old.
WW2, my 1st uncle died, the other assigned in the Pacific came back alive.
My husband's grandpa was a Viking, and he loves orange cats. He has an orange cat named Charlie the blue eye. He was a Presbyterian Christian. And loves my husband and me like his little grand kids.
Now, they are all gone, and I missed all of them.
