Then so should everyone in the federal government who should’ve put a stop to this i******s crossing. These people aren’t trying to cross in a legal manner. These are illegal, alien invaders. The federal government is inviting these people here through their lax policies and their media statements so if Governor Abbet should be tried then, so should they

If you don't like the way Abbott is doing the federal governments job, then demand that the federal government DOES its job.

Can you please explain to me why New York is getting 3x the money Arizona is to try and deal with flood of people crossing our southern border, over 7.5 million since 2020.

"Someone who dies trying to enter our country ILLEGALLY" is the fault of Joe Biden and his invitation to the world to surge our border. The blood of their deaths is on HIS hands.

New York would be getting more money than Arizona because New York (blue state) is a declared as a sanctuary state, Arizona (red state) is not, and now NYC Mayor Adams wants to have that official distinction removed as they have "no more room at the Inn".

Having lived in Texas myself and having a sister who spent 30 years in El Paso, we're both s**k of Abbott and his hypocritical clown show.

The states of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico could not function without i******s. Who do you think does the dirty work on the ranches, restaurants, construction, housekeeping, etc.? You won't see many w****s in those hard labor positions.

New subdivisions build houses with "maid rooms" because it's just assumed the owner will have a maid, very often here illegally. You can imagine the stories that come out of those situations. Young girl, limited english, can't go to the police or her family will suffer. Lots of terrible abuse in the system.

All of a sudden republicans are all aflutter about "i******s". If Abbott and his fellow criminals had mouthfuls of t***h, they'd all choke. They will use anyone they can, i******s, poor w****s, sex, anything to get power.

If republicans really wanted to solve the border issues, they would work with Dems when bills are introduced. The border issues could be ended in a year if republicans were serious about solutions. Don't expect cooperation though, republicans make too much money scaring non-border citizens with foolish, money wasting "solutions".

Tom McClintock Breaks Down Biden Border Crisis: 5.5M I******s at Border,
2.1M Released into U.S., 1.5M Got-Aways

House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement Chairman Tom McClintock (R-CA) detailed, in numbers, the extent to which the nation’s southern border remains more porous than ever under President Joe Biden’s watch.

During his opening statement at the subcommittee’s hearing on Thursday regarding criminal i*****l a***ns living throughout the United States, McClintock said the Biden administration’s policies have created “sanctuaries for criminal i*****l a***ns” while forcing “a dystopian nightmare for law-abiding citizens … who must live in them.”

By the numbers, McClintock said there have been more than 5.5 million i*****l a***ns encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border since Biden took office in late January 2021 — a foreign population that far exceeds the city of Los Angeles, California.

More than 2.1 million i*****l a***ns, McClintock said, have been released directly into American communities by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This is a foreign population equivalent to the city of Houston, Texas.

Similarly, more than 1.5 million i*****l a***ns are known to have successfully entered the U.S. interior without being apprehended by Border Patrol. This is a foreign population the size of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“Among the 1.5 million known got-aways, there is no way to estimate the number of terrorists and criminals entering the country,” McClintock said:

But we do know this: By surrendering to border patrol, you are virtually assured of being released into the country. The 1.5 million who have evaded border patrol have done so for a reason: They are either conducting criminal activity or they are hiding criminal records.

McClintock also noted the Biden administration “has essentially adopted the sanctuary policies that prevent many dangerous i*****l a***ns from being deported after they have been convicted and incarcerated for committing other crimes while in the United States.”

Indeed, after the Supreme Court recently ruled that states lack standing to sue over Biden’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders — which ensure most of the nation’s 11 to 22 million i*****l a***ns are not eligible for deportation — DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reinstated the orders.

The lack of arrests and deportations from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency under Biden, McClintock said, paints a clear picture of the impact of the orders:

In fiscal year 2020 — the last year of the [Donald] Trump administration — ICE removed 186,000 aliens from the United States. Two years into the Biden administration, deportations have plunged to only 72,000 — a decline of more than 60 percent. [Emphasis added]

The Trump administration removed 104,000 convicted criminals from the country in fiscal year 2020, yet the Biden administration only removed 38,000 in fiscal year 2022. That requires repeating. The number of convicted criminal aliens removed from our country has declined by nearly two-thirds under this administration. [Emphasis added]

Similarly, in 2020, the Biden administration removed just 60 percent of the number of known or suspected gang members as the Trump administration had done just two years prior.

As Breitbart News reported, the orders have also ensured that fewer criminal i*****l a***ns are ever taken into ICE custody, even after their arrests for local crimes.

Since Biden took office, ICE has cut the number of detainers issued to local police. These detainers ask the police to hold i*****l a***ns in their custody until they can be turned over to ICE agents for arrest and deportation.

Under the Trump administration, ICE issued more than 15,000 detainers a month in parts of 2018 and averaged about 13,000 to 14,000 detainers a month before Fiscal Year 2020. Compare those monthly figures to when Biden took office, and monthly detainers dropped to 2,200 by March 2021.

McClintock asked, “Explain to me how this makes our communities safer. Does anyone seriously believe that making it harder to remove criminal i*****l a***ns from our communities makes our communities safer?”

Opening Statement of
Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock
Hearing on the Biden Border Crisis: Exploitation of Unaccompanied Alien Children

On Inauguration Day (Biden's), our Border was secure. The Remain in Mexico policy had slowed i*****l i*********n to a trickle, court-ordered deportations were being enforced and the Border Wall was nearing completion. By the afternoon of that day, Joe Biden had reversed these policies, producing the largest illegal mass migration in history.

In the last 27 months, they have deliberately admitted two million i*****l a***ns into our country, a population larger than the state of Nebraska. And while the Border Patrol was overwhelmed, another 1.5 million known gotaways have entered as well. That is an additional illegal population larger than the entire state of Hawaii.

The Trump policies slowed encounters of unaccompanied children to 33,000 – the lowest level in eight years. In the last fiscal year, a record 152,000 came across. That’s almost a five fold increase.

Biden had exactly the same tools available to him as Trump. It should be obvious that this is a deliberate policy that ignores not only the welfare of Americans but that of the migrant children as well.

On a border trip last year, I asked a CBP officer how to stop the trafficking of children into this country. His answer was immediate: get them safely home. He said, the cartels charge thousands of dollars to traffic these children and they don’t give refunds. The moment children are returned home, their business will dry up. In another border trip, I was shocked to learn that no effort is made to get these children back to their homes, and very little effort is made vetting the so-called sponsors of these children and very little interest in following up on their welfare once they are abandoned to these so-called sponsors.

What happens to them? The administration’s response is basically, “don’t-know-don’t care.” But a recent New York Times investigation sheds some light on this question. After they get to the U.S., many are forced by their so-called sponsors into dangerous jobs with f**e identity documents. Earlier this year, a sanitation company employing over 100 i*****l a***n children in jobs in slaughterhouses and meatpacking plants in the Midwest, paid 1.5 million in civil penalties after a federal court found that these children were using “caustic chemicals to clean razor-sharp saws” and “working overnight shifts.”

In one of the great ironies of bill-titles, the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 makes this possible. While Children from Mexico and Canada are immediately sent safely home, all others are admitted. That’s a tremendous incentive to send unaccompanied children to the border.

In 2014, even the Obama Administration recognized the danger and asked Congress to provide it with “additional authority to exercise discretion in processing the return and removal of unaccompanied minor children from non-contiguous countries like Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.” The House passed a bill to do just that, but Senate Democrats blocked it.

The Trump Administration was able to staunch the flow with new and strict requirements to ensure the safety of these children once placed with a sponsor, as well as Title 42 expulsion authority.

However, in 2021, the Biden Administration dismantled Trump-era requirements to vet sponsors and perform background checks for individuals in the sponsor household, many of whom are involved in smuggling the children in the first place. And the Biden Administration stopped subjecting them to Title 42.

We now know that the administration has simply lost track of over 85,000 of these children. In September 2022, Axios reported that “roughly one-in-three follow-up calls made to released migrant kids or their sponsors between January and May went unanswered.”

Don’t-know-don’t-care. According to the New York Times, the cabinet secretary responsible for these children, Xavier Becerra, likened the sponsor placement process to an assembly line that wasn’t moving fast enough. He complained “if Henry Ford had seen this in his plant, he would have never become famous and rich. This is not the way you do an assembly line.”

Last week this Committee approved a bill that would help stop this tragedy by returning these children safely home – as we already do for children coming from Mexico or Canada. No Democrats supported our bill. I am hopeful that after hearing the testimony of our witnesses, our colleagues will rethink their opposition to the long-overdue reform.

And although we are focusing today on young and vulnerable children, we should note that a large portion of so-called unaccompanied children are late teenagers, or young men claiming to be minors. That’s a subject for another day.

Those states would function just fine without i******s. The Border Crisis would not be fixed in a year if Republicans worked with Democrats. It would get worse. The border could be fixed today if every Democrat would resign.

"I******s" are called that because they are breaking the law coming here the way they do. It is illegal to cross into this country without being accepted here. They sneak here in car trunks, vans, tunnels under the border and any way they can think of without being vetted. They are not checked for diseases. They are not checked for mental illness. They are not checked for criminality. They do not speak our language and they do not take a vow to obey our Constitution.

Yes....they are what they are - "i*****l a***ns"....."aliens" because they are not from here, and "illegal" because they breake our i*********n l*ws by trespassing on our land.

They are WELCOME to come here and work on our farms and in our corporations and everywhere else!... That is NOT a problem. We welcome legal immigrants to our country with open arms! We always have and always will....but they have to do it legally to be called a citizen. These people are NOT citizens of our country.

You won't see many w****s in those positions as long as they can get handouts that pay better. When I was a young sprout in the Southwest, many of those "jobs Americans won't do" were done by teenagers trying to get some walking around money for gas and movies. I guess we weren't really Americans.

As a high schooler back east, kids fought each other over turf. Not drugs, but yard mowing rights.
As a further observation, Mexicans have been crossing the border, doing agricultural work, or conducting their business in this country for a couple of days, or a week or a month and then going home for 150 years. These people are not now and have never been the problem. It's the ones who park here and won't leave. First time I ever heard "wetback" was from an Hispanic classmate of mine and it was not a compliment. Don't let the name fool you, my family came to the US in the 1740s. None of us got west of the Missississippi until after the Civil War.
