for anyone suffering from the heat, think about this..
Today, the 15th of July 2023.. In the small town of Grantsburg Wisconsin, they are holding the world championships of snowmobiling... and of course, my eldest grandson is down there watching the grass races and anything else of interest.. Left me uniformed to tend to picking up yard trash from years gone by..
But per his comment on Facebook, he is having a good time and that is all that matters.. right?
Nothing to do with snow... but still funny
Have to tell you... My grandson, the same one, Is moving back to Idaho in 10 days.. he was working to build a lawn care/landscape biz in minnesota for the summer and some seasonal work in Idaho for the winter... but we are having a drought and the normal jobs are just not coming up so it has been a struggle..
Then a couple days ago , out of the blue he gets a call and is offered a job with the company he worked for part time in Idaho... so he is putting every thing on hold to see how that works out and is happy as a lark to accept it and is heading back to Idaho...

Idaho is amazing I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I'm not to wild about winters anymore because I'm old and can't do the fun stuff, if I fall and break a hip your pretty much done when your old. I live in a small rural town by Idaho Falls which isn't to big,I'd h**e to live in Boise or some of the other large towns that are liberal though.

LOL, while it churns my gizzard, one of the things my grandson likes, of the many, is the conservative view point of nearly everyone he knew.. I may surprise you, but not every conservative POV distresses me.. Just most of the recent developments...
Last winter he stayed in little place called.... river island? Or maybe island river? think it was the first name or something like that.. darn, should be able to remember where my family members live...
In any event, he truly likes Idaho and his stay of about six months.. so he is very happy to give it another try...
As I have said often, he had a rough youth and via job corps has a GED and something called a Wisconsin education certificate... So he felt very good to have a job offered to him via telephone.. and I of course hope it works out.. And I would think it is a beautiful state and a great place to live.. Maybe I will get to visit him sometime..

Island Park perhaps? That's a beautiful place near me. The thing about Idaho I like is we know our neighbors and rarely talk politics between us we're more wrapped up in life and family. Any trouble one person has if needing help we all jump in to do what we can. Like snow removable so you can get out of your driveway, who ever has a tractor just shows up after a big storm and plows you out, alot of times without you asking. That's what small rural Idaho is like.
