I have always had a problem with affirmative actions of all types that put any degree of favoritism to anyone based on race or ethnicity. Giving anyone based on their race any degree of favoritism over any person of another race is reverse discrimination...period end of sentence.

The context of this case was apparently in regards to college entrance standards, and under no circumstances was it ever right to choose a minority person that has a weaker entrance test or any other criteria over a standard white or any other person.

My pet peeve with affirmative action started when I was involved with a senator's aide back in the 80's, the state was big into affirmative action and it resulted in the most screwed up mess of every single department demanding their percentage of workers by race. Hispanics having a solid number of people in California, they were demanding every department have their 20% or wh**ever it was. This resulted in hiring freezes in departments to every other race besides hispanics, which meant that next in line people by seniority were passed over as they either brought a mexican in or promoted a less qualified person ahead of the next in line.

It was an ugly mess of reverse discrimination.

Is it ok for the U.S. Government to practice Affirmative Action policies when they get job candidates that are unqualified or unethical as in the case of the luggage thief Q***r Sam Brinton?

President Biden wrote a diversity, equity and inclusion policy EO for the hiring of Federal Government workers.
Should people's sexual preferences be used when considering someone for a job over another?

In 2009, the Supreme Court struck down the use of quotas in hiring.
