What Is Going On With This Texas Ban On 10 Minute Water Breaks Every 4 Hours?

I have had a tough time figuring out what this even is...who doesn't let workers have a water break or any other kind of break every couple of hours? The union jobs I've seen have a 10 or 15 minute break every two hours in between a lunch break.

So Texas is being hit with one of the worst heat waves in a long time and Abbot bans water breaks? This doesn't even make any sense, it goes against all common sense in terms of looking out for employees.

B.S. Article with a TON of l*****t, crybaby spin!! FKNG Period!!
Did you read the bill, and can you point out specifically where it states that municipal, and county employees are disallowed from taking water, and cool down breaks? If you can, I'll discuss it with you.

Number two: The mail carrier is a FEDERAL employee, and the lineman, more than likely, was either a contractor, or employed by the utility company. Not a city, county, or the state.
We have to follow the policies of the entity we work for. And, trust me, the USPS is one of the worst!! They PUSH, and PUSH their e.ployees, and don't care anything about their health, or their families.
That's why we have unions. In this case, a union is justified, and a good tool to keep management in check. Otherwise, they'll work you till you drop, and go get another one. Or, work the one's they have harder.

Your purely h**eful, and biased ignorance is truly mind boggling.

Actually there was nothing h**eful or biased about me reporting and questioning what this was about.

I'm sure you have a water bottle in your truck do you not? So the USPS isn't de[riving you of water on hot days

I've had dehydration issues. Mostly from running in extreme heat. If you are not sweating in the heat, it is to late. You needed to hydrate before that. Doesn't mean you'll die, but you are pushing the edges. That being said, there are what they call camel backs that carry water on your back. Also you can find other ways to carry water with you. Do so. Even warn water is better then no water. It is the sweating that it provides water for, that cools. You also need salts. Drinking to much water without salts can also k**l you. There are powdered mixes you can buy to add to your water. Especially in extreme exertion. And believe it, beer helps. Not a lot, but alcohol enters the system faster then water. A small cup or two won't hurt, but you really need the water to back it up. And now.

One time in Thailand, I was running with friends. I got separate from the group. Half hour behind them. Suddenly I realized it was over 90 with humidity about that high and my skin was dry. started walking. Around the next bend was the finish. The pack was gathered and they saw me coming in. They spread apart and I jogged on in to the guy in charge. He had a can of beer for me. Seeing me up close he asked if I could do it. I said yeah, but make it quick. I chugged the beer, then found two liters of water that I managed to put down in the next half hour. It was about three hours later when I finally got back to normal.

Once in Hanoi I was running in about 110 to 114 heat. We all carried bottles everywhere we went. Running was from one section of trees to the next, then walking in the shade. We got it done.

That being said, I don't really know the specifics of what Abbott did, but it doesn't sound right. You don't have to follow an illegal or unjust law that is dangerous.

READ THE FKNG TITLE TO THIS THREAD, DUDE!!!!!!!

READ THE ARTICLE!!!!

DAMN!!!!

Now that I'm done screaming my head off at you to no avail, I challenge you to read the bill, and show me, specifically, where it disallows state, county, and municipal employees from drinking water, or cooling down if they need to.
Show me!

You're just posting anti-Texas, left wing bulls**t that you buy into.

There's a world out here that doesn't exist in your mind.

You know, I deliver mail to a LOT of people who are FAR more wealthy, and successful than you could have ever dreamed of being.
They treat me with respect, and truly care about my well being.
Had a lady yesterday pull up on me in her Beemer, just to hand me a bottle of cold water, and thank me for being out there.

Just go through the bill, and show me where it says what the title of your post, and following words says. That's all I'm asking.
If that's too much to ask, so be it.
I don't give a s**t. I'm burnt up, burnt out, and I gotta go do it again tomorrow.

Me being a Postal minion, and all. .........

I don't need no keys or locks, I can slip in your box, I'm your mailman.
When I'm walking down the road, Gee, I'd like to drop me load I'm your mailman.
