There probably has never been any president if any person who has done more crying and whining about not being able to get a fair trial because of the media coverage...the media coverage is in high gear because of the constant never ending stream of misinformation and pure horse schitt he shovels out on social media.
The recent gag order, or restrictions on trump's access to case evidence documents has to do with his misuse and misinformation that is typical for him...the prosecution does not want this tried in trump's style of destroying jury pools.
When the constitution says defendants have a right to the evidence they are being prosecuted with, it means the defense, the attorneys have a right to it. That information is not necessarily for public dissemination prior to the trial...and it sure as hell doesn't mean a mob boss can have the names of witnesses so they can be intimidated or k**led, there are elements of a prosecution that have reason to be closely held...something trump doesn't understand...
Which is what is so ironic, this is what he is being charged with
