Exactly How Trump Has Destroyed Intelligence Assets Of All Types

When a key piece of intelligence gets "loose" such as being taken from a secure chain of custody, meaning the guy that stands there letting trump read something, and then waits to take it back only to have the chief leaker refuse to give it back, saying I'm going to take it to read again...it has to be reported as potentially compromising any associated spies or informants, because if the information gets to anyone the assets where it came from will die.

To give Putin any seemingly innocuous information might have only one place it could have come from, and Putin would be looking for a mole anyway.

Trump let Russian ambassador have some information he thought was no big deal, except that it came from Israeli intelligence and it blew their spy network. They were pissed and it had been reported from inside sources that foreign intelligence was no longer going to share their most sensitive information because our president was a threat to their security.

Another leak that got publicity was when trump posted the picture of the missile that had blown up on the launchpad in strikingly clear resolution images. it was for trump only, but he wanted to post it on social media to show how good his/our intelligence satellites were.

Insiders testified as to the exchange that took place, trump was told respectfully, sir, you cannot post that image, the resolution is far better than we want our oppositions to know we have, it represents five billion dollars worth of upgrades we don't want adversaries to know we have.

Did that mean anything to trump? No of course not, he said he was posting it, they asked him to let them provide a downsized resolution, but no, he had to go with what he wanted to because he could.

He has no regards for security or intelligence concerns.

It’s almost like a president can declassify anything he wants to
