In another topic there were several challenges to assertions made that trump had stiffed contractors and suppliers thousands of times, as counted by just the lawsuits that were a matter of public record. They are suggesting that this was f**e news and the people who believe it are the gullible ones. No, the stupid people are the ones that don't know how to figure out what kind of story is real.
This extensive coverage that was saying trump ripped off contractors and suppliers on a scale of thousands if not tens of thousands of people had been made because of the coverage a single case was getting as trump was willing to make a contractor suing for the last $30k of the $200k+ owed to him have to spend literally tens of thousands to get what was owed to him. The ongoing coverage caught the lawsuit filed, and the myriad of delays and legal BS trump was making him go through to collect $30k. It was costing him way more, which is how this business model of trump's works, stiff a guy for the last of what he's owed, and the cost of getting it is way more than what you got stiffed for.
The contractor won a judgement that included legal fees and trump still wouldn't give it up...the guy was forced to file a mechanic's lien on Bedminster, which was worth an estimated $180 million because trump wouldn't pay up on a judgement.

So it ended up being reported that over 4000 lawsuits had been found, this was 4000 contractors and suppliers that had been stiffed, one can only speculate how many didn't pursue the money owed because it cost as much or more than was owed to get it.
