Smith Depoliticized His Charges, Withheld A Section 2071 Charge That Would Have Prohibited Trump From Office
The times reported that there was no mention of a charge that was obviously valid by statute...Section 2071 of the federal criminal code "which prohibits the concealment and mishandling of sensitive government documents", which upon conviction would have meant that by statute trump, "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States".
There it is in language that any fifth grade student could easily understand, we'll see if Magadonians can.
Full on weaponization would have been all over this charge, it has a simplicity that is undeniable, although there are legal scholars that feel it would be unconstitutional, but that would be for the supreme court to decide had it been invoked to deprive any national security errant p**********l wannabes from office.
If you don't like Raw Story sorce it from the times, or look up the 2071 statutes
