You can't be trying to make a federal case out of the DOJ being weaponized and immediately launch into full scale attacks of all your perceived enemies and political opponents. He is promising to eliminate everyone in government that doesn't fully support him, from employees to top level people. As he puts it, he will be going after them, and he knows who they are.

And he's not just talking about firing, he is talking about going after them with full on prosecutions and jail, which he has done on multiple occasions already during his first term. It wasn't good enough for trump to simply fire FBI and DOJ people who disagreed with him, he invariably tried to prosecute and screw up their lives. He used a DOJ to go after people to where they had to spend tens or hundreds of thousands defending themselves against stupidity.

But my actual response is that there is a big difference between the DOJ looking into crimes, and the president eliminating any government employees he doesn't feel are sufficiently supportive of him.

The RNC has said that in order for p**********l candidates to participate in the Republican primary debates you must agree to support the winner even if the winner is convicted of espionage.

The GOP has no morals. It is now the party of Trump.

You are right , they have no morals but The GOP will toss trump to the side like the useful i***t he is as soon as they can figure out how to get his numbers to drop. He's been a pretty good puppet for them so far because he's not smart enough to make any plans of his own and repeats their knee jerk plans up till now. He's becoming more of a liability every day and more and more of the GOP is recognizing that they can't win with him at the steering wheel. Watch and see trump will not be the Nomination, maybe DeSantis God help us all. They just want a figure head that can spin up the base with their next self made crisis.
