Are Sentencing Terms Up To A Judge, And Should They Be?

It was noted that if Cannon stays on trump's case, she could decide whether to drop the case, or go with zero time to serve even if he is convicted. I am keeping an eye out for whether any of the charges have minimum times...is there any doubt that Cannon would go time lite as in no time at all?

Time is iffy, a plea is up to lawyers, the judge has no say. If it foes to the judge..well why speculate?
