Turns Out There is A Way The Court Can Recuse Cannon For Cause...

We have been seeing trump and recently DeSantis in the Disney case try to get judges recused because they are worried about them being biased..they generally have nothing better than that they are a political appointment, and that is not good enough...
In the case of Cannon it's different, the pertinent recusal reasons hinge on being able to make the case that a judge has shown reason to believe that their impartiality could be questioned.
No judge has ever made a stronger case that they cannot be trusted to treat this case with impartiality, Cannon took the legal position that it is her belief that someone who was president needed to be treated with a different deference to what they wanted.
There is not only no telling how much she would turn established laws and precedent upside down considering she already did in a way that was rather spectacularly smacked down by the appeals court, she could virtually be counted on to provide trump with every possible delay and motion that is within her power to get away with.
This challenge to her impartiality is so cut and dried that it's impossible to imagine that Smith isn't all over it.

Law and Crime has been rated as centerist or leaning left with a high degree of creditablity. Judge Cannon is probably the biggest risk of Trump not getting quick and speedy fair trial.

Trumps only shot at acquittal is jury nullification, the feds have him dead to rights. There is no way in hell his lawyers will risk a bench trial. Perhaps a plea deal with little prison time.

Actually I have no problem with cases losing when fair jurisprudence was used, the law is the important thing, not the political "sides".
I see nothing wrong with the "liberal" judges "siding" with the conservatives when they make a good case that they are following the constitution, I have a problem with legislating from the bench.
Cannon showed such a blatant disregard for the law and precedent that she was smacked down in appeals and brutally corrected. That is what I have a problem with, judges that want to side with someone because they were a president and they believe that they should get special considerations, which is antithetical to what the law is.
