These Texas Skeeters!
Jun 8, 2023 22:50:36   #
archie bunker Loc: Texas

I just went outside for a minute, and they sounded like WW2 bombers flying around.
I came in, an got my shotgun, and managed to bring 3 of em down.
One is still flopping over there, but it'll die in time.
Anyone know how to field dress, and skin one of these things without wasting too much meat?

Ehww! EAT them? Not me! I usually just rope them, and when they get tired enough to let me get my feet back on the ground, i hog tie them and feed them to my pet fire ant.

No mosquitoes here--just ticks--I'll load up my 22 with birdshot in case you chase some of those Texas giants up here .

Yeah......have you seen what's going on in Amarillo? A month of rain, and we're over it!

Funny, we b***h when it's dry, then b***h when its wet.
I h**e the humidity. It's Houston style up here in the Panhandle.
We aren't acclimated to that! But, we're getting there.

That's where all those mosquitoes are coming from. They like it wet. We are having a mini drought where I live and they're not nearly as bad as usual.

Texas is about to load wetbacks on them, and send them all over the country.

My wife and I are just the opposite. We were both born and raised within spitting distance of the Gulf, and have always lived near it. We feel parched on the rare days the humidity gets below 80%.
