I'm curious how some feel about the following video. There are many here that are experts on the constitution..was this guys right violated...personally, I would just answer the questions, but it is interesting...are these cops just profiling and using excuses to do so...I'm curious where some people stand on this :

I watched the entire video - and was concluding that, if he was telling the t***h about smoking, and if he was telling the t***h that he found himself on private property without knowing it, the cops were hassling him. However, when I got to the end of the tape and found the diatribe against all cops I realized what he was - a smart ass kid thinking he's clever and probably did something to get the attention of the cops. Meanwhile, if the snot nose really understood what N**i's really did, he'd realize how lucky he was to be dealing with cops who were far from being N**i's.

I think it is indicative of the attitude of cops everywhere. Fines have become a source of revenue.

I think the kid made his own problems.

Why? Because he didn't bow down to them, especially since he wasn't doing any he wasn't doing anything wrong. So they made something up.

The kid made his own problem. The Officer felt she had seen him doing something that wasn't allowed on that property so she did her job and stopped him to discuss it. No crime!! If he had cooperated and answered her questions he would have walked away in less than 5 minutes without a ticket.

I guess the next time a Police Officer sees something suspicious going on around you or your home they should just ignore it. I mean why should they just hassle people, right!!! Then you'll cry like a little baby when your assaulted or your house gets burgled. They saw it happening and did nothing to protect me, baloney !!!

Funny how the out come wasn't videoed and shown. Did he sign or not. Did he turn a little situation into major one. Again I say He made his own problems.

I agree with you....I thought what he wrote in the end was ridiculous and made him look bad..

There's a bunch of these videos out there...I finds them interesting. Maybe because I wouldn't have the balls, or the want, for any confrontation.. I would just answer any questions..some of these people do a better job of almost " schooling " police on constitutional rights...interesting stuff

I have mixed feelings about it...I would have answered any questions...but I think she was lying...she didn't see any cigarette and then gave a citation for loitering because " she can"

I do think the ticket was payback. If the kid had not been a wise ass the whole situation would have been over in minutes. I like you would have answered her questions.

I agree, I too would have answered the question. I have no idea if this guy was a tourist, in Utah?, and what their laws are as each state has laws that they must follow. I will have to look up U.T.A., as I have no idea what that is all about.

Okay, my take.

She failed to ever inform him of what regulation she believed he had violated. It is my understanding you must be informed of why you are being stopped/questioned.

She failed to explain what the acronym UTA meant.

The second officer was a total i***t for mentioning loitering.

The citation was payback; however, the kid deserved it. He was being a jerk.

True to the degree that his side of the story was the only one and fully representative of what he was doing and what happened. Reading the captions at the end of the video put that into some question in my mind.
