This seems obvious but perhaps a person moving from a home to a care facility will need to be reminded..

these people; the "we buy ugly houses"people.. are trained to specifically seek out the elderly who may have any of the difficulties of the aged and by force of poor health or poverty be faced with have to sell a home..

This is fairly long and so much better to follow the link and at least skim it.. wh**ever , do not let anyone sell to these people without full assistance by a knowledgeable and reputable person..

Many skams for older people to be aware of but this one is extra nasty and focused by full fledged training..

There are a lot of s**ms out there. I almost got caught in one they were using the pay pal logo by the time I realized that something wasn't right they had most of my info had to shut down my credit cards and debit card pain in the butt

Close call but you are right to point it out to make people aware if THEY are older or they have parents and there is nothing saying even younger people can't be hoodwinked. Mine they knew I had a Paypal account simply they stated my 500.00 dollar order was being processed I freaked out at the last minute and went to the bank shut everything down I figure by that time they had pretty much all my card numbers. Now when I look back I can't figure out why I didn't see it upfront but I panicked because I needed that money for bills then somewhere along the way they said too much money had been taken from them in the t***sfer and wanted it back OUCH lesson learned

Yes, I got s**mmed once back in the 80 or so. got a phone call to make an application for a low interest loan.. should have known better.. but I was busy with a DIY project at the moment.. It cost me $100 , all I got was a photocopy of a loan application to a bank in 6 or 8 states away.. as soon as I hung up, I knew what a dummy I had been.. but they must have been shut down ASAP.. nothing more ever came of it.. But I truly resent the loss of $100..
