No disrespect intended, but....

Did they give their lives for the Country, or for the politicians?

Vietnam was no threat to us.
Afghanistan was no threat to us.
Iraq was no threat to us.

All wasted lives in my opinion. Wasted by politicians.

That being said, God bless every one of them for giving their all.

Archie ,
You are so right .In my sorely tested opinion ,we have been bulls**tted since the Civil War .The bastards that divided up Europe after their second great War are still running this s**t show .They use the blood of our boys to lubricate their war machines .

No, Vietnam was no threat BUT neither were those of us who survived to come home to being spit on, called baby k**lers and refused jobs just because we served when our country called us. Now many of us are still suffering from what our own government did to us. Maybe, just maybe if you walked in our boots you might understand, saying no disrespect intended doesn't work.

Thank you. Think about it. Those who died for us and our country are owed more than we can repay them. What did they do it for ? They did it so that this country would be safe and would thrive. The best we can do to make that happen is to live moral lives and do what ever it is that we are supposed to do. We need to show up when we are supposed to show up. We need to take care of our families, our friends, our Churches, and our communities.

You are pretty much correct again, but I have to add.. back in the day, I do not recall anyone who was in action for country, and for sure not for some unrelated person.. but I think nearly everyone was very much determined not to let the guy next to them down by not doing the job we were ordered to do..

I like your last line about trying to live a moral life and do what we need to do... good one..

I appreciate what you say. Those who came before us left us with high standards to live up to. Hopefully we can teach those coming after us to be grateful for what they are being given.
