The one thing my husband says about jury decisions is this: You have not spent the weeks of sifting through the evidence presented by both sides. In the case about Rhodes, the jury deliberation took less than a day to come down. I am sure the jury was convinced by the prosecution. I would bet on a jury in Mississippi handing down the same decision. My take on Rhodes is this. The guy went to Yale law school. He knew exactly what he was doing.

There is a rather long article about the political bias of Politifact at the link below. But here are a few key points:
"Despite these accolades, there are frequent complaints about PolitiFact’s bias. Yet arguing that PolitiFact harbors a systemic bias is often a fool’s errand because the argument inevitably goes like this:
Skeptic: PolitiFact is biased. They call true things “Mostly False” or “Half True.”
Believer: Give me an example.
S: Here you go.
(see below)B: But there was a certain way where, if you look at it from a particular angle, that claim isn’t totally true.
S: But the substantive fact was accurate.
B: But there are extenuating facts.
S: When a Democrat said the exact same thing, they called it “Mostly True.”
B: Yeah, but those statements aren’t the exact same thing, they are slightly different.
S: What? How?
B: Because the wording is slightly different."
Example: The 16th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified that year, legalizing a federal income tax, and Congress approved legislation enacting one. Thus, Ron Paul's statement was factually true. But, Politifact goes into a long dissertation attempting to spin this factual answer into one that they claim is only half true.
You see, that's the thing with bias, you can attempt to spin things, or come up with all sorts of qualifiers to judge something that is factually 100% true, yet claim it to be only half true.
Here is a bit of additional evidence showing clear political bias of Politifact!https://thefederalist.com/2016/12/16/running-data-politifact-shows-bias-conservatives/
