I often use this newsletter to provide much-needed history lessons to people who claim that the Republicans are r****ts who want to bring back s***ery (when the GOP was founded to end s***ery; it took Republican President Abe Lincoln to do it; and Jim Crow laws, Bull Connor and the KKK that Democrats love to invoke in attacking Republicans were all Democrat institutions.)

I don’t expect today’s l*****ts like AOC to know any of that, or to have read a real history book, or even to have lived through some of the history that I have. So I’m glad that when they started spouting off their revisionist nonsense, Sen. Ted Cruz took to Twitter to give them a remedial lesson in which party was actually founded on, and continues to protect, civil rights, and which party fought a war to preserve s***ery, invented all those r****t institutions, filibustered the Civil Rights Act, and even today attempts to keep b****s on their plantation to cement their political power.

Be sure to read the whole thing, since it includes a refutation of the Dems’ erroneous claim that somehow, after the Civil Rights Act passed, the parties “flipped” and all the r****t Democrats became Republicans. Nope. Of the 21 Democrat Senators who opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act (that Republicans v**ed for in much higher percentages than did the Democrats), only one ever changed parties.
