Excellent idea, a dignity month. As it is, we can't get a single day.

You *get* 365 days a year. You can, and do, ignore the marginalized and call it blasphemy that the day (month) is not all about you.

Most people who are, as you call it, 'marginalized', are there by choice. Which is fine, if that IS their choice to swim outside the mainstream of American life. What is NOT fine is them trying, insisting, and demanding that BY LAW, the rest of us have to accept, acknowledge, approve, and even celebrate their style and direction of swimming. No matter how much we disapprove of it or believe it to be harmful. I reserve my sympathy and help for those who are marginalized due to accident or age or illness. Those who CHOOSE to follow a different path, especially an immoral one, I have no animosity towards....just leave me and my family out of your plans. Especially my children and grandchildren. Those who INSIST on intruding into my and my family's OWN freedom of choice are seriously putting themselves in harm's way.

No, I'm not being sarcastic. Call a spade a spade. It's restrictive reading "not banning books or not teaching a theory to kids who can't even spell or do math. It blows my mind what these POS's are focused on while our kids are failing in basic math and reading sk**ls. How can anyone not see the problem with this?

Besides math and reading our kids are behind in social studies also(Including map recognition). We also need to bring back civics in HS as a req. for graduatiion. Yes and this is another reason why I disagree with some of the extreme views of my l*****t brethren. We need to get back to teaching the 3rs+Social Studies (I retired in 2015 after 23yrs of teaching middle school and some high school social studies (mostly World hist and Geography along with American hist)

100% agree with you. As for the CRT, Sex ED, Trang****rism, ect, there is a time and place for those subjects. Some as electives and some required according to field of study I would say.

Absolutely and it's Not in ELem. or possibly Secondary until Sr Yr then as you say as Electives or specialized requirements. We had health as a requirement back in HS (I grad in 73) and the basics of sex ed. were introduced.

As was mine. I graduated in 1973, as well. Our health education class included a week with a special instructor who taught a little bit about human sexuality, including the basic concepts of homosexuality. Condoms were discussed, but no demonstrations were given, even with cucumbers. And boys were in separate classes than girls for that week. STDs and the penny method were also discussed, as was WAITING for marriage....it was advised as the best thing for all concerned. I took it to heart, and it worked out well for me.
