Toilets are a bunch of ...

For decades now, toilet manufacturers have been complying with government mandates for lower water per flush to limit consumption of water. Now, the limit is down to one liter per flush or 1 LPF. Many toilets have it inscribed on the side or elsewhere.

Problem is, after a 1 LPF, often there is some... (how shall we say?) , material(?) left on the sides of the bowl and it takes several flushes to get it all down, with each flush using one liter of water.

As Ringo Starr, the Beatles drummer, once said, everything the government touches, turns to crap. Not only that, but as this anecdote shows, it messes up its own crap.

They do the same lying thing with water. 71% of the surface of the Earth is covered with water. 326 million cubic MILES of water, and it is all part of an eternal recycling system. And yet they claim we are short of H2O. Ridiculously laughable. We have long had the technology to desalinate seawater, and pump it where needed. The only limitation is capital investment.
The same is true with garbage. A vast amount of America is unusable land. A very tiny portion of it would hold ALL the trash produced by mankind in all of history, where it could be harvested and reharvested for material as needed and is economically feasible. The only limitation, like the water, is the willingness to invest the capital for adequate t***sportation of the refuse.
There is a place in Texas where the refuse of a quarter of a million people has been collecting for almost 40 years. It is a small hill about a hundred feet high, and covers an area of less than a squared quarter of a mile. The cost to collect, separate, bury, and produce usable burnable gases from decomposing is about $20 a month per household.
Solutions are easy, understood, and not at all prohibitively expensive....just more expensive than what we are currently doing. Any one who says any different is a deluded fool, or is deliberately lying to you.

Replace the flush valve & grab a spare before they're removed from shelves. First thing I do when I get a shower head or faucet is to remove the restrictor and then drill out the hole to give me more water flow.
