I had an "Alice's Restaurant kind of evening.
Did you know that it's illegal in Texas to put your trash in someone else's private dumpster? No? Me neither until today when I took out the trash after work, and there was trash in my dumpster that was emptied at 6:20 this morning. 3 black trash bags, a chair, and random stuff.
Well, I dug through the trash bags, and found Amazon packaging, a letter, and a UPS box with a name, and address on them. New people up the road a ways. Bout a quarter mile. My first instinct was to load it all up, and dump it in their driveway. But I did a little Googly on it, and its a crime. Just like dumping trash on the side of the road.
So, I called the Sheriffs department.
Long story short, they took their trash back with no charges, and I'm an asshole because I don't completely fill the dumpster that I pay $100.00 a month for every week.
Kind of a funny evening with entitled people.

They should have waited until you had a ton of garbage in there and put their stuff underneath it, like in the movie. You should have called officer Opie.

Archie, good neighbors are blessing. Bad ones are a curse. The fact that they got butt-hurt instead of apologizing for taking advantage of you when you caught them is a pretty good indication of which kind of neighbor you're likely to have. At best they learned a lesson in being a good neighbor/at least they learned to leave you alone
Well at least you kept your sense of humor......personally I don't want to pickle...I just want to ride my motorsicle

If their “trash” had been a dead body, that could have turned into a murder investigation on
your property…and on YOU!
Just sayin’ …
