In the past few weeks, several innocent young people were shot by gun carrying maniacs. A kid trying to pick up his siblings at the wrong house, a couple of young people shot at because they drove into the wrong driveway, and now a six year old and her father were shot by a crazy person because he was angry that a ball bounced into his yard.
Although I am a gun owner, I'm beginning to think that the Second Amendment of the Constitution should be repealed. We have far, far more gun deaths in our country than any other civilized industrial country. It must stop!

Wrong. Its neither one nor the other but both. Society has changed. You’ll never change people’s hearts by banning guns and that could serve to only make things worse. What you want to do is put a small band aid on a huge open wound. It won’t work

I am not against gun ownership. However, I do think we should put confitions on it
If we adopted the same requirements of gun ownership as New Zealand and got rid of civilian ownership of assult weapons, we would go a long way and avoud massacres

The last 2 shooting were done by elderly people against young people. You see all over the news and in your neighborhoods kids committing criminal acts over and over because nothing ever happens to them. No consequences for their crimes, running in large groups destroying and assaulting their way thru society. So do you wait to respond until they've kicked your door down and are beating you to death or do you protect yourself first? Remember your there by yourself who's going to protect you?

No it's society that doesn't punish criminals anymore. It's the politicians who pander to them for v**es and no consequences. Who would v**e for them if they literally cracked down hard and cleaned this up. That's their selling point to get elected. They've been persecuted victims for going to jail. I had a freind growing up, she wasn't disciplined for anything and could do what ever she wanted. But my parent whipped our butts if we screwed up or didn't listen. Make a guess who was more respectful to others and did what was right.

Jamaica has far more deaths by machete percentage wise than any other countries; should they be banned? If we banned progressive policies and put God back in our everyday life things would change. If the government would quit subsidizing bad behavior we'd have less of it. Why is the black community so violent? No father in over 70% of the families. Why is that? This gun nut has respect for human life. Mine especially. I want the ability to defend myself and neighbors from these entitled i***ts the democrats have created. See downtown Chicago last weekend. sooner or later this crap will spread to suburban neighborhoods and us gun nuts will be ready.

How about putting criminals in jail and keeping them there for longer than an hour,or if criminals get caught with a gun, which by law already on the books go immediately to jail for having them. Or probation officers making a surprise check to see if they have one ect. It's not the law abiding citizens doing this gun violence it's criminals. Start with that. All our lawmakers do is ignore the actual problem and focus on crap that will do nothing to fix it.

The NZ prime minister who did that resigned. There was a growing resentment against her for her autocratic measures.
