El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, who once described his own country as ‘Third World,’ slammed the indictment of former President Donald Trump, suggesting America itself would view similar actions in another country as an attack on democracy.
“Think what you want about former President Trump and the reasons he’s being indicted,” Bukele tweeted earlier this week. “But just imagine if this happened in any other country, where a government arrested the main opposition candidate.”
“The United States’ ability to use ‘democracy’ as foreign policy is gone,” he added.
That’s right. The president of a Third World country is ridiculing the United States of America over the politically-motivated arrest of a p**********l candidate.
Did you ever think you’d see a day like this? In your country?
Bukele’s tweet currently has over 13 million views according to Twitter’s analytics.

The political insder has been rated by PolitiFact as 100% pants on fire. You can't get a worse review. This whole story is probably made up.

You don’t know how to think for yourself. You’ve proven that so many times it is beyond a joke.

Actually, if this had been a third world country, he would have been hung by now for in-sighting an i**********n, stealing classified documents and trying to get a state representative to magically come up with 11,780 v**es to overturn an e******n. But hey, you probably don’t get that information from FAX Noise, the admittedly lying right wing propaganda channel.

Jailing or k*****g political opponents in Latin America is so common that nobody pays any attention to it anymore.

Typical Marxist dumbazz comment. You folks are a blight to our Republic. Trump didn't start an i**********n, Pelosi simply gave you the "word." He didn't "steal" classified documents and there was no crime in asking for officials to search and see if they could find more v**es. The simple-minded, whom you represent, were so easily g***med.

TommyRadd, I h**e yo disillusion you, but in Europe it is fairly common to put former heads of government on trial for corruption.
In this country, it has never happened before, but some past Presidents could have, and should have been prosecuted. Calvin Coolege comes to mind. He was in bed with some pretty tough` customers from the underworld.
I really believe that one of the most important principles of democracy, is that all people are subject to the law. You remember, " with liberty, and justice for all".
The real important court cases will be charges associated with s******n, i**********n, attempting to overturn the results of a f**r e******n, obstruction of justice, a civil trial for rape, etc., etc.

This is America, not Europe. Obviously folks on the left don't appreciate American exceptionalism.

The left has been throwing anything against the wall they can against Trump. It is called political persecution.

Sick. The double standards on the left that is. I am totally for accountability. The left, not at all, or barely perceptible if anything. Compare their coverage of H****r B***n. End of story.

And no, I am not a "Trump can do no wrong" person. But this is total politics and everyone knows it.

In charity, I hope there is such a place for you because, sadly, I'm confident you will never seek forgiveness, reconciliation and amendment of life, for both you and your partner, in this life.

We’re good. Purgatory and hell are inconsistent with who and what God is. No worries.

Political or not, Trump indicted is poetic justice for what he’s been getting away with for decades.
