You can either report a violation or you can ignore it and move one. That's up to you. But if you choose not to report a violation, then don't complain about it still being there and don't use it as some kind of excuse for your own actions. Because that really-really-really-really sounds like whining on the receiving end, even though you claim that's not what you are doing.

That is useful. Apparently kevin is never reported for his consistently foul language or AF1 for his vile posts. I don’t bother reporting anyone

You can assume wh**ever you want. But once your account accumulates a certain number of warnings, you get a suspension. And whining about how "other users are doing it too" won't help.

So the wisest course of action is to watch your conduct without regard to other users or some sense of cosmic justice/fairness or wh**ever.

It has been my observation through life experience, that those who possess a minimal amount of power (government employee/site moderator) are often quick to use that minimal power. Contrasted to those that have significant power and use it sparingly.

The former is often more dangerous than the latter.

So true. I find Admin’s wording and attitude strangely familiar. I’m contemplating playing along by their rules and guidelines as they’ve been explained to me.
I wonder if left leaning posters are subject to the same regarding “language violations”. I might find out by reporting such violations each time I see them. Simply playing by their rules and advisement. 🤔

Generally, I find speech freedom on this forum to be relatively loose compared to messnbc etc.
Being martyred with suspensions doesn't hold much value so staying between the lines is a good move. It is hard to do with so many absolute crackpot homos on the site.

There are plenty to choose from. I suspect there are many who get off on “the power” of having someone’s post removed. That’s life and certainly not an important factor in mine.
