My next door neighbor is of Nordic heritage. He just gave me a bowl of Norwegian cookies. Some of Texas' oldest Nordic communities are all within half-an-hour away...Cranfills Gap being one of them. Its last census population was 281. Much of the population in my county, Bosque, is of Nordic origin. Of course, the entire population of Bosque County is only 18,000. In contrast, I last lived in Austin & Travis County. It is almost the exact same size in area (1000 sq.mi.), with about 1.2 million.
I do not speak any Nordic.:oops: We all speak Texan, though. :thumbup:

Hey good, I can understand you. What I know in Norwegian is very little. In Wisconsin their is a place called Little Norway. My dad's parents came from Oslo, Norway. They are good people, but tend to be liberal in the 'take care of each other way.' My Dad was the only one of 5 kids who was a Republican. Anymore there's not much more than 10 cents difference between the two parties - don't trust either one.
