Who is Alvin Bragg? The Manhattan district attorney who prosecuted Donald Trump
Former president Donald Trump fired out three furious all-caps posts on his T***h Social page on 18 March, invoking images of burning cities and World War III while stoking unrest with a call for his supporters to “protest, protest, protest” what he predicted would be his arrest in New York.

Alvin Bragg – the Manhattan district attorney whose office is overseeing a criminal investigation into the former president’s business practices following long-running allegations of fraud – issued a memo to his staff in response, stressing that he does “not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York.”

His internal message did not mention the former president by name or his incendiary rhetoric, but he referred to “public comments surrounding an ongoing investigation by this office.”

Mr Bragg has been tight-lipped about the case and his office’s work, ensuring in his recent memo that, “as with all of our investigations, we will continue to apply the law evenly and fairly, and speak publicly only when appropriate.”

On March 30, a Manhattan grand jury v**ed to indict Mr Trump, the first former president to ever face criminal charges.

Right-wing opponents, meanwhile, have bombarded Mr Bragg’s office with claims of e******n i**********e or raised baseless conspiracy theories, including antisemitic and r****t attacks, that accuse Mr Bragg of leading a politically motivated case against the 2024 candidate for president.

Mr Trump’s allies and right-wing pundits have baselessly accused Manhattan prosecutors of mounting a politically motivated investigation while ignoring violent crime.

Last year, homicides in New York City fell by 12 per cent while shootings dropped by 17 per cent compared to 2021, the lowest rates since 2019, and significantly lower than massive surges in 1980s and 1990s. Spikes in robberies and burglaries drove a 22 per cent overall jump in so-called major crimes, and overall crimes dropped precipitously in February with significant decreases in murders, shootings and subway crimes, continuing what New York City Police Department officials report as a downward trend.

How Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg could get removed from office
https://nypost.com/2022/06/08/how-manhattan-nyc-da-alvin-bragg-could-get-removed-from-office/#

Embattled Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is facing mounting calls to be ousted — especially in the wake of his soft-on-crime counterpart DA Chesa Boudin getting bounced from his job.

But unlike the recall v**e against Boudin in San Francisco, which saw 60% of fed-up v**ers rejecting his progressive politics, the power of removing a district attorney in New York falls to the governor.

“If the governor has information that [a] district attorney is not properly fulfilling his or her duties, she then can request that an investigation be conducted,” Donald Chesworth, a former Monroe County district attorney, told The Post.

New York’s GOP gubernatorial candidates on Wednesday called on Gov. Kathy Hochul to step in and use her sway under Section 34 of the state Public Officers Law to get rid of Bragg and, in turn, his controversial policies — which they argue are putting criminals back on the streets.

The governor has enormous leeway to decide what conduct might warrant removal of a district attorney — and who should investigate it, explained Chesworth, a partner at Tully Rinckey and former state police superintendent.

So how exactly does the process work?

Under Section 34, investigators have the ability to subpoena witnesses and evidence for a hearing, which must be held at least eight days after the accused has received written notice of its time and location.

“No evidence taken in such investigation shall form the basis of any report to the governor … or the basis of any determination by the governor, unless such evidence is presented at the hearing,” Section 34 reads.

Donald O. Chesworth, a Partner in the Rochester office of Tully Rinckey PLLC.
Attorney Donald O. Chesworth argued Gov. Hochul can order an investigation into Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s job performance.

Once a hearing concludes, a report should be sent to the governor.

It is ultimately up to the governor to weigh the evidence and decide whether removal is warranted for any accused district attorney, county clerk or sheriff, according to Chesworth.

Removal becomes official once the governor – who gets to appoint a replacement to serve the remainder of an ousted official’s term in office – sends written notice to the office of the secretary of state.

“The governor would say: ‘I’ve been provided sufficient information [to show] that in my judgment, this person should be removed from office,’” Chesworth said.

In addition to district attorneys, the governor can also remove — with relative ease — county clerks and sheriffs across the Empire State.

“It’s clear that that’s what the law allows – and it’s been that way forever,” Chesworth said.

He added that Section 34 has seldom, if ever, been used to remove an elected official in recent decades.

Bragg faced an online petition calling for his ouster in January for his policies to downgrade or not prosecute certain crimes. A month later, he walked back a pair of those policies amid backlash.

New York GOP gubernatorial candidates Andrew Giuliani and Rep. Lee Zeldin led calls for Bragg’s removal Wednesday following Boudin’s ouster.

Congressman Zeldin insisted that Hochul’s refusal to remove Bragg would be her undoing.....

Alvin Bragg along with Leticia James, have been dreaming to knocking down Trump since Bragg entered office about 14 months ago. Alvin Bragg was paid by Goerge Soros $1 million. RE: Matt Gaetz in Congress.

Alvin Bragg does not arrest his co-black people who are most violent in NYC, commit crimes 24/7 l**tings, stealing, carnapping, robberies, drug dealings, drug addicts like G****e F***d, and Marion Berry of DC, pushing people to the train track to k**l, doing all kinds of mayhem.

Alvin Bragg releases those b****s in jail for criminals' offenses. Released them and they went back doing same crimes 24/7

Manhattan Grand Jury Indicts President Trump for paying hush money to Stormy Daniels who threatened Trump that she would claim just 2 weeks before the 2016 e******n that Trump had an affair with her. Was her threat extortion? Was it a false accusation to squeeze money out of Trump? Was it hatched by Michael Avanati, her lawyer, who is now in prison for other actions? Affair or not, if the indictment is about that payment, the hush money would be a misdemeanor, not a felony, so did the local NY DA use a federal statute of campaign financing disclosure on accounting books that federal prosecutors previously refused to use as being irrelevant and as being beyond the statute of limitations? Did he use RICO because Cohen discussed it with Trump? Bragg, a DA who was financed by George Soros, promised during his campaign as the Democrat candidate for NY DA that he would get Trump... get Trump some way, with something, with anything.... so this looks like his attempt to make good on his promise.

Explaining the Ties Between Alvin Bragg and George Soros

Donald Trump’s allies have accused the district attorney bringing a case against him as having been “bought” by Mr. Soros, the philanthropist. That is misleading, though the men do have a financial connection.

=====================
Alvin Bragg's dream, the first time he entered as DA at NYC, 14 months ago, was to arrest Donald Trump. Now, today, he has made that promise to come true.

President Trump is the 1st President in US history, to be arrested for political reasons. He is innocent. All legal experts, claimed, there is no crimes here. But the thuggish Bragg, DA of NYC is expected to arrest him any time soon.

President Trump is expecting to be arrested , put in a handcuff, and on a mugshot to show to all the American people and the world, that black thug DA can change America forever. Bragg would perhaps put chains on Trump's legs too. This is now the justice of America. While all the real criminals are free starting from Barack, Hillary, Biden, and so many of them. The LIBTARDS ARE ALL HAPPY, that they own the world.

Thug DA Bragg is lawless. He releases all the black criminals after doing all criminal activities in NYC streets. The criminals come back and do the same crimes 24/7. The victims are the innocent hard working Americans paying taxes to pay the thugs who don't work.

What they do are extortions from the taxpayers thru handouts, and from the innocents they victimize on the streets, rub their valuables, l**ting, stealing, car napping . These are mostly criminals thugs in NYC. They are all free to do crimes over and over. Most of the victims are W****s, Jews, Asians, and others races not of their dark colors.

Alvin Bragg is so FAT. I think he eats too much like a gluttonous pig. Gluttony is a sin.

Bragg releases his people as soon as arrested and returned to commit crimes again. NYC is one of the most violent places to be. NY is a blue state, many Republicans left NYC due to the crimes of the people of Bragg.

Other GOP's are left to stay in NYC due to their jobs, and businesses.
