Tough question for people who really know BS they babble on about are lies...
Often you can get people to admit they know something is a lie, but object to an underlying political reason to object to something like trump being charged with paying a hooker for silence. People know he did it, they just object to l*****t prosecutors going after him for anything, believing it's politically motivated.

If trump actually committed a crime in a way that it can be proven, does it matter if his prosecution is politically motivated or not?

Yes it matters. This has already been tried in court. No one is saying he didn't do it but there are statutes of limitations you think would have run out by now..Can't they find anything newer? If they are going back that far they have nothing.

A New York prosecutor who, his first week in office issued orders to downgrade felonies to misdemeanors is trying to resurrect a case that the US DOJ refused to prosecute because it was baseless. Not only that, but the statute of limitations has expired even if there was anything there to prosecute.
