There is no pretrib-rapture. Matthew: 24 - 22.

He’s talking to the Jews. Not the church. The gospels didn’t touch the church much. Our apostle is Paul.

This is such a sad article. Protestants need to be just as concerned because if the Catholic Church goes down the drain you're in great trouble too. Already you're inundated with the acceptance of the L***Q mob. Faithful Catholic clergy & laity better stand up for their faith immediately. You can form under Faithful Bishops and not be guilty of schism. Those who depart from the faith are the ones who commit schism because they separate the people of God for their own purposes.

You’re right about the need to stand up against immorality.

Rose, faithful Christians have got to persevere and keep the faith together. We've lost so many already. I still find myself in disbelief of how far we've fallen in a relative short time, 60 years. One thing in our favor is that everytime Christians were persecuted in the past we became stronger.

Why do you think it’s strange that we’ve fallen so far so fast? The great falling away will occur before the man of sin is revealed.
I believe that we are on the precipice of that action.

Every generation has believed there were signs of the Parousia for their time. In WW1 the machine gun, for example, was thought to be the end of mankind. Every Pastor worth his keep should emphasize to always be prepared as Christ taught, not to be like Hal Lindsay and try to predict the end times based on a personal interpretations of scripture. Christ, in his perfect humanity, did not know. Now, having said this, man would be a fool not to keep a weather eye open and seeing the signs we're seeing today get his unruly house in order. My personal thoughts, I stress my personal thoughts, is that it's going to get so much worse than now that mankind will fall on their knees begging for mercy. It was not that long ago in my life span that America enjoyed a life of innocence compared especially to today.

Nope, just that the Mathew verse, in context, applies to the Jews, during the time of Jacobs trouble.
If you want to know what Jesus said directly to the church, read the Pauline epistles.

You're making a grievious mistake thinking the Gospels weren't directly for the Church, His Church. Jesus choose His Apostles, His ambassadors who He would take aside and personally teach "that faith once delivered for all times." The Gospels are the good news for His Body, the Church, as well as for all mankind - as He intended. The Gospels are easier to understand compared to Paul who has run on sentences and may change the subject in the middle of the stream. I personally like John's Gospel. John was a thinker. He thought for a long time about what he'd witnessed & heard. Then he wrote about it and gave it to an already prospering Church.

Very true...
The rapture is most certainly a Pauline theory...

Enoch and Elijah are the two examples of it. They will be the 2 lampstands.

Exactly, 2000 years ago the final battle was won. Calvary was a convention for repentant & forgiven sinners. Still, we must fight and resist evil and I know that you are in that battle.

Not at all...
Merely an observation that the rupture doctrine relies solely on the words of Paul...
