Towards the end of the article

***That means we need to get this war ended and start working to bring Russia into the West. “Degrade Russia” is one thing we hear a lot. How about a strong, Western-looking Russia that can keep the Chi Coms from taking all those sweet, sweet resources just sitting there in Siberia? The greatest foreign policy failure of the last 30 years was not Iraq or Afghanistan; it was the failure to bring Russian into the fold after the USSR fell. But our foreign policy hacks are so concerned with personalities – PUTIN! PUTIN! PUTIN! – they cannot focus on the world as it is and how to get it to what it should be.

>>>I have been saying that for some time now. They wanted to merge into the West in 1991. The West stood in the way. You can't make someone your friend or get them to become more friendly if all you do is demonize them at every opportunity. Russia's dropping C*******m and emerging free enterprise, capitalism and freedom were begging for Western cooperation to help with the t***sition. Look what we did with Japan and Germany after WWII. Why not try to work with the old adversary after the Cold War and help them achieve freedom? We never tried. We set up the road blocks and then started moving in on them.

I agree with you and I think Russia will come around to cooperation with the US eventually for their own good as Western Europe will one day be overrun by the Muslim 'migrants' unless something is done soon to send them back and that doesn't seem possible at this point.

Slight disagreement. They no longer trust America. I think it would be a better idea if we disbanded NATO and then tried to engage them in fair trade and quit trying to demonize them. They don't want to roll over Europe. They want equal competition and a market for their goods. They get more that way then the problems of conquest and war.

But I do agree with the problems of Europe being overrun by migrants with their open door policies and Germany afraid of opposing any form on integration. They will eventually lose all sense of identity and character. Last time I was in Germany, on my last night I had to go to a tourist area to find a good old fashioned German meal, instead of the pizzas near my hotel. Glad it wasn't a muslim area. They don't know what they are doing to themselves.

I agree . We missed a golden opportunity with the fall of the USSR. But for the military industrial complex they need a boogyman to keep getting funded. Such a large percentage of our budget goes to them so they have to justify it. As for European Muslim problem. Do you know the number one baby name in Germany? Fritz? Hans? Helga? Nope the number one baby name in Germany is
Mohammed. Yup Mohammad. Sweden? Mohammad . And on it goes.
