Fortunately for Joe the Trump administration made it clear that a president can not be charged. If he lives long enough to finish his term and it takes years after to hold him accountable he will avoid prison.

And the left made it clear that they would not buy into the presumption. Have they suddenly changed their position now that the shoe is on the other foot. There's plenty of hypocrisy to go around.

If the deep state l*****t bureaucracy decides that I***t Joe is more of a liability and have a viable replacement, then impeachment is the only way that he can be removed from office then indicted as it now stands. With Kamala as his back up, she seems to be his "insurance policy" in regard to being a "viable replacement".

Think you answered your own questions. "Each protects their own."
Having said that, what has now been established? Barr stated an opinion. No one ever indited Trump with a crime and no court has decided that a president couldn't be indited so no precedent has been established. It is still an open question.
