This has been around, but it if you haven’t seen it, it is a great example of both his insights and sense of humor. I do not know of any one in Congress who possesses a better academic background, nor a better sense of humor. John Kennedy graduated magna cum laude in political science, philosophy, and economics from Vanderbilt University, was president of his senior class, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an executive editor of the “Virginia Law Review” and elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned a Bachelor of Civil Law degree with first class honors from Oxford University ( Magdalen College ) in England , where he studied under Sir Rupert Cross and Sir John H. C. Morris.
FIRST OF ALL, I’M JOHN KENNEDY. NOT THAT JOHN KENNEDY, I AM THE OTHER JOHN KENNEDY, (R) SENATOR REPRESENTING THE GREAT STATE OF LOUISIANA . PERMIT ME TO TELL YOU WHAT I BELIEVE.
1. I BELIEVE AMERICA WAS FOUNDED BY GENIUSES BUT IS NOW RUN BY I***TS.
*
2. I BELIEVE YOU CAN’T FIX STUPID, BUT YOU CAN V**E THEM OUT OF OFFICE.
*
3. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HEARD OF ANYONE TRYING TO SNEAK INTO CHINA ?
*
4. AMERICA IS SO GREAT THAT PEOPLE WHO H**E IT, REFUSE TO LEAVE.
*
5. LET ME SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION, THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION SUCKS.
*
6. I BELIEVE EXERCISE MAKES YOU LOOK BETTER NAKED. BUT SO DOES ALCOHOL.
*
7. WELFARE SHOULD BE A BRIDGE, NOT A PARKING LOT.
*
8. WEAKNESS INVITES THE WOLVES.
*
9. WE MUST ARM FOR PEACE.
*
10. WE DON’T HAVE A GUN CONTROL PROBLEM. WE HAVE AN I***T CONTROL PROBLEM.
*
11. FREE ADVICE FRIENDS, IF GOVERNMENT TELLS YOU NOT TO BUY A GUN, BUY TWO.
*
12. I BELIEVE IF YOU H**E POLICE OFFICERS, THE NEXT TIME YOU ARE IN TROUBLE, CALL A CRACK-HEAD.
*
13. HERE’S A FREE TIP, COPS WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE IF YOU DON'T DO STUPID THINGS.
*
14. I BELIEVE WE NEED AN E******N DAY, NOT AN E******N MONTH.
*
15. I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PROVE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE WHEN YOU V**E.
*
16. I BELIEVE 400,000 BODIES BURIED AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY ARE THE REASON YOU SHOULD STAND FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM.
*
17. I BELIEVE THE WATER WON’T CLEAR TILL YOU GET THE PIGS OUT OF THE CREEK.
*
18. I BELIEVE LOVE IS THE ANSWER, BUT YOU SHOULD OWN A GUN, JUST IN CASE.

Former President John F. Kennedy quotes...

This country cannot afford to be materially rich and spiritually poor.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.

One person can make a difference, and everyone should try.

My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

Ask not that the journey be easy; ask instead that it be worth it.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.

Things do not happen. Things are made to happen.

The Republican Party can lead any person to believe that their promises will be fulfilled in the future. They follow the Hitler line – no matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as t***h.

A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the t***h and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.

Effort and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.

The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.

If we are strong, our strength will speak for itself. If we are weak, words will be of no help.

I will splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds.

The high office of the President has been used to foment a plot to destroy the American's freedom and before I leave office, I must inform the citizens of this plight.

Only an educated and informed people will be a free people.

Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.

Don't pray for an easy life, pray to be a stronger man.

Let us not be blind to our differences-but let us also direct attention to our common interests and to the means by which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal.

The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission.

Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.

If by a "Liberal," they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people - their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties - someone who believes that we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say that I'm a "Liberal."

He was a much different liberal than many of those today - especially in democrat party leadership. He was more of a classic liberal.

Yes he was. We have to get those who follow the ideas of Pres.JFK into our Current democratic leadership. I think there are still a few out there. So I ask my fellow liberals/progressive Democrats on this forum who can be the next liberal leader like JFK. I believe it's Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders or Beto Orourke, Pete Buttigeg or even Michelle Obama. If you have any others let's hear them. The other choice is to support Pres. Biden if he does run for re-e******n next year. Incumbents are very hard to beat.

The ones you mentioned aren’t even close - and none of them are leaders.

If someone like JFK were running I’d v**e for them.

I respect your opinion and say thankyou for posting. I would like to hear who you would think should be the Democratic candidate in 2024. We don't really know they are leaders since they have not yet showed any sense of leadership.

Good question - I have no idea yet. I thought Tulsi Gabbard was the best option for democrats last time but she got the boot early because she wanted to shake things up

My bet is the best won’t run. Who wants to subject themselves to the grind of increasing nastiness from the opposition.
