When Republicans controlled the House and Senate during the first part of Trump's presidency, they did nothing to fix the border or immigration. Zero. Zilch. The problem is campaign finance. Organizations like the US Chamber of Commerce, who favor open borders, donate heavily to politicians in both parties. These politicians need the donated money for ree******n so they can keep their snouts in the taxpayers trough. BOTH parties are guilty. They give immigation and the border the same bulls**t lip service that they give term limits. Until and unless there are strict limits imposed on how much donated money a politician can receive, there will be no real action on the border, because the boys with deep pockets don't want any. Trump faced opposition from his own party. Other than Trump, (sort of), we have not had a president with the 'nads to confront these Congressional asswipes since Eisenhower.
