Many countries forbid foreigners from owning land. Why are American's so hell bent on selling everything from our land to trade secretes for a quick buck without considering the potential long term consequences? China would still be growing rice and tea if we hadn't helped make them a rival world power.

You know that you live in the Twilight Zone when the government drives up prices by closing stores, forbids you from working, and Americans look you in the eye and say everything is wonderful.

Most people support the police state until they become a victim of it.

Moola, you seem to have a problem with trusting the United States government. I do not blame you. Only a thoughtless and/or ignorant numbskull would trust them or want them to have more power over We The People.
However, your constant refrain sounds like you are just throwing out sound bites and quips without any substantial reasoning or evidence presented.
That is too much like the platitudes that constantly come from the left. Such efforts convince no one, and leaves me wondering what this is based on.
Respectfully, please provide some background, evidence, or other factual substantiation for your beliefs. I am not at all arguing with you......I just want to understand.
That's what OPP is about....learning from each other. If exchanging platitudes is all we are going to do on OPP, then I have higher priorities.

The problems of today could be solved by doing what the government did in the past- NOTHING.

Americans scream FEMA camps are the only solution for natural disasters, but San Francisco recovered from the 1906 earthquake without government help.

Americans insist concentration camps are the only answer to v***ses, but the government did nothing about a cholera outbreak in 1832.

Americans say the only possible solutions to deal with i*****l i*******ts are to build a wall, have warrantless searches, DNA databases, license plate scanners, and build concentration camps, but the US used to have open borders.

Americans say the only solution to recessions is to give billion dollar bailouts to bankers who commit fraud and give welfare to the lazy, but the US recovered from the Panic of 1893 without government action.

The government starts a problem and offers a solution. Why not avoid starting a problem in the first place?

If the government starts a trade war that k**ls the economy and then offers bailouts, why not just avoid starting a trade war in the first place?

If the government increases the minimum wage and regulations that k**l businesses and raise prices and then offers welfare, why not just reduce the minimum wage and regulations?

The government is not a holy god. The government is force.

Why not allow the free market to handle problems?

The private market and charities cannot provide disaster relief?

The free market cannot provide medical care, delivery companies, railroads, airports, schools, fire departments, private mediation, and security companies?

Do your shoes come from government shoe factories?

Can't churches teach morals?

Do you really trust the government to tell you what the t***h is?

Does the government spend your money better than you do?

People don't have any personal responsibility?

Can't you move away from people you don't like?

Can't you save money to prepare for downturns?

Can't Americans boycott products with cheap prices instead of begging for a trade war that k**ls the economy?

Can't Americans quit low paying jobs, learn a sk**l, move to another city, or start a business instead of thinking a minimum wage will magically make them rich with no unintended consequences?

Is tyranny something that only affects others, but not you?

Are Americans r****ded children?

Didn't tyranny k**l millions of people in N**i Germany, the Soviet Union, China, and Cambodia?

Think.

I do think. And at the moment, I think you are doing little but repeating platitudes over and over.

Wow.

Americans scream toothpicks will never be outlawed because the price of building more prisons is too expensive, but did the costs of jails stop lawmakers from banning straws?

When the US was a free country, Americans could decide what was best for their lives.

You could say that you plan to find a job today, enroll in college tomorrow, travel to Miami next week, buy a car next month, and start a business next year.

Now Americans must wait for decrees from the state like s***es.

Today you must get a mandatory v*****e, turn in your guns tomorrow, private property will be nationalized next week, you must get a microchip implant next month, and you'll sent to the concentration camps next year.

No one is responsible for anything because everyone is just following orders.

The elites want everything, but they don't need you.

Wake up. Look what is going down.

Thank a Demoncrat today....for the abysmal condition of this "ONCE GREAT REPUBLIC!"

Only a demented demoncrat mind could politically rape this republic, & get away with it....

Why? because America takes pity on the insane! [ When...They "SHOULD"..be deported!]

Americans say Biden supporting a debt increase is just fine because Trump did, too.

Americans scream gun bans are great if black people also lose their guns.

Americans say license plate readers are okay if i*****l i*******ts are also recorded by license plate readers.

Americans think that closing churches is wonderful if temples are closed, too.

Americans say banning baseball hats is fantastic because cowboy hat collections will increase in value.

Americans think checkpoints are terrific because you can use another road.

Americans scream banning cars is wonderful because no one owns a car.

Americans say outlawing spicy mustard is good because you could still buy original mustard.

Americans swear banning body armor is fantastic because you can easily make body armor with egg cartons.

Americans say that if the Gestapo are abolished then there would be absolutely no way you could protect your home.

Americans scream that North Korea is a Libertarian country because you can break the law there, but a Libertarian nation is a country where you are free to do what you want without being afraid of being arrested.

Americans say that breaking laws means freedom, but freedom actually means the absence of government.

In 1870 in the USA, you could have drank, smoked, gambled, and used prostitutes. Now you would go to jail if you drank, smoke, gambled, and went to prostitutes.

Going to prison for theft and murder is reasonable, but being jailed for a victimless crime is not.

I totally agree about the prison for theft and murder.
Nothing else.
Rocket man’s country is a dictatorship, not libertarian.
Breaking laws is not freedom! It’s criminal.
Freedom is the ability to be governed by fair and faithful men so that the laws are reasonable.
1870 or now, all that is still legal.
Lastly, there’s no victimless crimes.
Name them, please.
