Her housekeeper found her and her husband gave her CPR immediately, which is what usually saves cardiac arrest patients. They got her heart started, which is good...hopefully she didn't have any neurological damage, but she has a lot of people who love her around...her children and Priscilla. I like the Presley women. They are strong because of what they've had to go through living in Elvis' shadow. Lisa Marie has Elvis' eyes...so unique!

Yes. She had a cardiac arrest.

I don't think people realize that cardiac arrest is way more serious than a heart attack. With a heart attack, only 14% of the people die....their arteries get blocked up and slowly reduce the flow of blood to the heart, until the heart stops...but usually doctors discover the blocked arteries and do bypass heart surgery (my husband had that).

Cardiac arrest is when the 'electrical' impulses that keep the heart pumping just suddenly stop. The heart immediately stops pumping blood to all the organs and they begin to die. If a person isn't resuscitated within a few minutes, they die. 90% of cardiac arrest patients die.

She was very very lucky her ex-husband was around to start CPR and get her heart started up! (You only use CPR for cardiac arrest - not heart attacks, where the heart is usually still beating.)

Well, there goes an era. She was so young. I hope she has found peace after such a turbulent life. Priscilla must be devastated.
