The vipers on the J6 witch hunt are attempting to squirrel away the majority of their "evidence" regarding the r**t of J****** 6th. This is the same committee who swore for two years they had enough evidence to lock Trump up and throw away the key. Why are they now trying to hide it in the National Archives? This is the same tactic used to cover up the real culprits in the JFK assassination. These "paragons of honesty" that clueless Liberal Leg Humpers have elevated to worship status are nothing more than common criminals themselves, trying to hide the evidence before they slither off into the sunset.

However, as the article points out: "the proposed rules package the new Congress will v**e on Tuesday orders that any record created by the panel must instead be sent to the House Committee on House Administration by Jan. 17 and orders the National Archives to return any material it has already received."

Wouldn't it be a real kick if McCarthy were to order the entire package available to the public (minus any redactions on aspects of House Security measures). That would go a long way in repairing the gap with the more conservative members of his party!

I am adamantly opposed to 'sealing records' on anything - with the exception of those which might affect national security. Hiding things from the American public smacks of SEVERE governmental malfeasance.

Anyone interested in this matter needs to listen to Kash Patel, who was the first guy subpoenaed by the commission. His deposition was completed over a year ago, and was the last transcript released at the 11th hour before the end of the 117th congress.

Patel describes how the J-6 c*******e violated their own house rules, and refused to attach the exhibits (pieces of evidence) that were attached to the transcripts, as part of the official record.

He explains why his transcript was excluded from the public record until the very end of the committee's tenure. It was because it conflicted with the narrative that they were trying to establish in the mind of the public.

Patel goes into detail about how Trump and the DOD authorized up to 25,000 National Guard for crowd support, but that authorization was ignored by both Pelosi and Mayor Bowser (other than the 300 guardsmen that is customary for this type of event).

He cites the failure of the FBI to share it's intelligence with the DOD on it's reports of plans for domestic disturbances that would have led to renewed efforts to convince Bowser and Pelosi of the need for additional security measures.

This is all confirmed in the Biden Administration's Inspector General Report.

It really makes one wonder if the combination of the FBI's failure to inform the DOD, and the Bowser/Pelosi refusal to accept the additional troops for crowd control was intentional. The ensuing r**t was the perfect excuse to deflect all the attention away from the effort to examine the e******n irregularities that congress should have investigated.
