US and Germany giving Ukraine Bradley Fighting Vehicles and the Marder Fighting Vehicle.

For those of you Conservatives who have your fingers crossed for Putin, this isn't good news for the Russians because now the Ukrainians can take the battle to them with vehicles that can stay and offer support. If Ukraine was kicking their ass before this one can only assume that Russia's position isn't going to get any better...

Germany and the US should have provided this help months ago.

First off, petey, it isn't about Conservatives. It is about intelligent people wanting to keep Europe and America out of a war we have no interest in. This is between Ukraine and Russia, and the people that Ukraine were attacking for eight years in the Donbas, and their rights to also be free. You are jut advocating for more deaths of people that never should have died over this dispute. If Europe and America stayed out of Ukraine in 2014 when this war started this never would have happened.

I just wonder how much support the various European nations are providing compared to what the US is providing?

I wonder why some of you - left and right - can’t seem to post without childish commentary.

1) This is about 007 and other Conservatives who have bought into the pro-Russian narrative spewed by Fox News.
2) Putin has been busy gobbling up the countries around him. If you think we aren't invested in Europe then you know nothing of history.
3) America DID stay out of the war in 2014--Russia took Crimea--which led Putin to believe there would be no pushback if he took the rest of Ukraine!
4) And no, this isn't about intelligent people but very stupid people who refuse to learn from history. Conservatives love authoritarians so someone needs to tell you that you can't placate tyrants without them thinking they can take more.

Russia took Crimea BACK. Crimea was historically a part of Russia, for hundreds of years. Most of the people in Crimea considered themselves Russian. Crimea was a part of Russia until the fifties, when it was basically given to Ukraine by Kruschev, who was himself Ukranian. Most of Crimea and a very large minority of people in Donbas consider themselves Russians.

Not childish. Historically ignorant is more accurate.

Actually I know a bit more about Bradleys than most, being involved with the development of the repair manuals at a time when they were very much classified, they were vastly over priced pieces of crap that amounted to spending tens of millions per vehicle to move less than 20 soldiers, an i***tic idea at best. The first ones were dumped into the ocean to make reefs.

Sure, dump Bradleys on Ukraine and the pentagon can claim the replacement cost of garbage they have no use for.

They formed their own government, and Russia does not get to decide to "take anything back".
