Americans and Canadians

Three American three-year-old boys lived just south of the Canadian border. They were friends with three Canadian three-year-old girls who lived north of the border.
One day, one of the American boys went to his father and said, “We sure have a lot of fun playing with those Canadian girls. Do you think we’ll end up marrying them someday?"
The father, who was bigoted, said, "Absolutely not! We’re Americans and they’re Canadians! They’re different from us, so they’re off-limits for marriage!”
One day, after seeing his friends, the American boy came back to his father crying.
“You’re right!" said the boy bawling. “We could never marry those Canadian girls. They’re too different from us!"
"And how did you find that out?” asked the father.
The boy said, "Well, we were playing with the Canadian girls and we decided to go swimming in a creek, so we all took off all our clothes. And boy, I never knew there was such a big difference between Americans and Canadians!”
