Had ny Christmas party and ohhh how much fun!! When you spend time with family and friends with that expression of love, gratitude and contentment it sure can change your attitude itself… When all said and done these are the things that really matter and are most important to us and leave us with lasting memories. So thankful for every opportunity.

We probably won't have ours till AFTER Christmas, just like we couldn't get everyone together until the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving to have our dinner.

Doesn’t matter win Smedley just that you will have an opportunity to do so. People and all the things they got going on in their lives son of a gun don’t they realize family is the most important but also we do have to make concessions for the other responsibilities we have. This time of year is the only time of year I kind of throw everything to the wind and just have an enjoyable month loving, living, and learning I hope you do the very same. And I wish you and your beautiful wife a wonderful Merry Christmas..

What I find is a lacking is our taking care of those that have no immediate family near where they live.

I'm not necessarily suggesting inviting them to your family gathering, although that might be nice in certain circumstances. Many people invite military members who are stuck on their base to join them.

But there are others who just happen to live in an area that is not near their families. You know them. They are in you social clubs. Or maybe that local bar you visit several times a week.

I started this in Chicago among my friends. We run. So I invited all those that weren't off visiting family to join me at a train station down town. Since we run, we went for about a 5 mile run to see the down town decorations. Then we put a serious dent in a case of beer. Then one lady said she lived a few blocks away and had a lot of frozen appetizers. The pack went there and hung around until about 8 or 9PM, watching football and socializing. But not alone. With friends. I left early and took the train to visit my family.

You don't have to stay with them. You can arrange something for them and go. But the important thing is, your friends were not alone. And they had fun. Since then we have had many local events like that, with some cooking turkeys and pot luck and all is good. Even sitting in a pub with a few friends and ordering a pizza, is better then sitting home alone.

Spread some cheer and Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you/your family/friends. Sharing our love with others is always a great morale booster...the more you give/the more you get

I think you are defining the surrealism of what is most important. Sharing, extending compassion, recognizing the challenges life brings us and yet still finding a way to express love and camaraderie…

The simplicity of a smile towards someone can change their whole facial expression as well. Changing that just may say β€œ it is reaching the depths of their soul.” Yet it takes such little action filled with nothing more than a β€œ you matter to me.”

Great idea what you do and ever so kind..βœ¨πŸ‘πŸ’œ
