The $600 dollar rule has been around even back when I ran a business in the 90s.. a 1099 was required for payments of that amount even for a single employee who was part time or a temp..

I think this return, if that is what it is.. With the finding of the trump company c***ting, filing no reports the Powers that be are concerned that the trump lawyers would appeal on the ground that lower income did not need to file 1099s . beyond that I have not looked into it.. most t***sactions and pay of this $600 will not affect the tax individuals pay.. remember, unless the law was changed all expenses for these item can be written off so the overall affect should be very minor..

The article says that the $600 rule came into effect during Bernie Saunders campaign.

The IRS has cleared Trump. He wasn't c***ting, he used all the deductions that the IRS offered. Trump didn't, as far as I know, hide his money in some foreign country like the most of the oligarchs have done.

The 1099 you are referring to from the 90's is for non-payroll employees. ie: self employed contractors. The 1099k is for reporting 3rd party payment t***sactions such as Zelle or Venmo for goods and services. Example.. You sell your piano for $700 and get paid thru Venmo or receive a $700 cash gift through Venmo from your Grandmother, Venmo will send you and the IRS a 1099k revealing that t***saction and you will have to include it in your 2022 tax return. The amount was $20k before 2022 but the Democrats snuck this one in lowering the amount from $20k to $700 in the American Rescue Plan Act passed in 2021.

I am correct on occasion.

I would say 50/50 it gets changed a minor amount from $700 to say to $1K or $2K. Near 0% it will ever go back to $20K.
